a bear vacuuming a floor as a japanese salaryman looks on in terror
found out about the manga kuma gurashi which is like those ones where a manic pixie dream girl comes into a salaryman's life and starts doing all his domestic chores for him to heal his heart except in this one it's a realistically drawn bear and the salaryman is terrified on every single page
Hah, this took me back! I remember playing the early (multiplayer!) VR FPS featured near the beginning of the video, with the gigantic wired headsets, at place that opened in the Embarcadero in SF in the 90s. It was cool, but it was also like $10 for a 15 minute game. Once was enough.

Sometimes you’ve just gotta flip through a big book of Super Sentai creature designs.
Three panel comic. Panel 1: scene from the movie Aliens; Ripley is in a mech suit and delivers her iconic line: “get away from her, you bitch!” Panel 2: the xenomorph queen lunges at Ripley in the robotic suit and they engage in a fight. Panel 3: later, the xenomorph queen is standing in the shower, mid wash. She says, “‘it takes one to know one, honey.’ That’s what I should have said.”
Hajime no Ippo
Probably a tie between Azumanga Daioh and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Ooh, guess I’d better pick up through Bits & Bops before then.
You got moded.
Gave this the soundtrack it deserves. Kubrick was onto something when he picked the Blue Danube as the Theme of Objects Floating In Space.
Call me, Nutella
Oh. Yeah bsky is real slow today. Welp time to be elsewhere I guess.
Update: Definitely getting a better feel for it now. Balancing all the mechanics and the drifting is overwhelming at first, but there is a nice flow to it once you get them down. #BlackskyGamers
Happy First Contact Day, my friends!! 🖖
In the midst of everything going on right now (and it’s a lot), First Contact Day is a reminder that a Star Trek future IS possible, and that humanity has the capacity for greatness. We can, and we WILL get there… together. 🖖
A brick building with a "He is risen" banner on the side. On top of the building there is a billboard of Gowron, son of M'Rel, Chancellor of the Klingon High Council. He looms ominously over the scene, grinning and giving the viewer crazy eyes. Gowron can SEE INTO YOUR SOUL. If this isn't funny to you, you should watch more Star Trek.
A glorious Easter to you and your house. Qapla'!
A glass being rides a skateboard in a shiny urban landscape. A giant red moon looms behind them.
Floating, carved busts of old philosophers demand to be shown more tricks.
I'm also playing Skate Story which is a whole other vibe. It's more of a set of poetry made into a skateboarding game. The gameplay is remarkably tight and fun to master. The sound is also excellently mixed, which intensifies the whole experience.
Ooh custard is a nice touch!
Welp. Guess I have birthday plans now!
Excellent nominative determinism, BBC News website.
This is proof that sometimes you never know how good things can get, and even then, they can sometimes get even better. 13/10 for all (TT: matiastapia2409)
A grey cat sitting on the edge of a tub, peering into the drain.
It him.
Might be one of my all-time favorite beat-em-ups. Everything about this game is so well crafted.
A lighthouse with three legs walks across a fantastical desert.
A striped, walking lighthouse gazes at a snow-topped mountain in the background.
Speaking of games that look like they came straight out of a story-book: Keeper is a gorgeous adventure/puzzler. I love a game that can make me root for the characters and make me want to know more about the world, even without dialogue.
Twizzlers / Red Vines
Black licorice or gtfo.
