Leadership starts with listening—
That’s something we don’t spend enough time doing. We can easily become complacent in thinking we have all the right answers, but there is always more to learn and experiences we haven’t lived. Not once, not just during a campaign, but as a commitment. (1/3)

Alright, I’m home now so here’s the Norm update. Yesterday at 4pm, I got a text from a family I’ve been helping who had a loved one abducted a couple of days after Renée Good’s murder. This was the family that Norm Nation kept from being evicted (and you delivered). ICE had released their loved one.
I get really dopey & emotional about the value of public service. Today is Brian Theine Day in Ramsey County & we should celebrate because Brian exemplifies excellent in public service & living a life with aligned values & actions.
Brian is retiring from a 30 year career in social services. 🧵1
A brief story:
This morning a child went missing on the way to school in my neighborhood.
Law enforcement and search and rescue were called, and also the networks we built for ICE Rapid Response.

At that point, the call disconnected. I called my bank back when I had pulled over. There were no such charges.
So, hey, be aware fraudsters can now impersonate your bank when they call you. If you get a call about bank fraud, hang up, and call your bank back directly to verify.
Had a call today from my bank, saying that there were some questionable payments that were being charged and I needed to verify if I made them.
I did not, so they proceeded to ask me to confirm my person by verifying the code I received on my phone.
I was driving and said I could not safely.
Capitalism isn't a democracy. Spending money isn't voting. Every time we repeat this, we forget where we actually derive power: not by being a naughty little consumer who won't consume, but by getting loud, speaking out, direct action, and making the people who stand to benefit miserable.
70 Minnesota children.
Delta Air Lines, who likely flew nearly all of these kiddos out of MSP, could publicly condemn this and end the practice tomorrow, as the airlines did in 2018 with family separation, but it’s easier to stay silent.
I can't vote for that without the dramatic lighting and poses.
But mainly, I can't vote for that because I live in CD 4.
The UMich Regent who allegedly spearhead efforts to prosecute student protestors lost his endorsement to the Lebanese immigrant who represented those students in court.
Someone was taken near 20th & Central tonight at 10 PM. Within 5 minutes, there were over 20 people on a call and even more people on foot in the area to respond.

It's time for this year's Nourishing Hope, for Fred Hutch Cancer Center's patient housing food pantry! Keep an eye on our socials to know which creators to visit to support this great cause!
I've said this before on other items du jour but if I did my job so bad that it cost the city 8 digits of real money, I would be killed, not fired. Take the mercy guys.
Republican politicians sold out our waters for the profits of a Chilean billionaire. But the fight continues.
My legislation, the Boundary Waters Wilderness Protection and Pollution Prevention Act, would permanently protect the pristine waters of the BWCA for future generations.
Me sowing: I can leave my sunroof open overnight, it'll be fine.
Me reaping: Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!
Last week, the Minneapolis City Council approved a contract for the Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) program meant to address unsheltered homelessness. 1/
A party finding its way back from the wilderness can’t afford to waste its time removing the growing and energetic part of its base. We’re proud to stand with @mydfl.bsky.social , the DFL Progressive Caucus, and the DFL Disability Caucus in working to build the party, not tearing it down.
We, along with the @dflprogressives.bsky.social, @stonewalldfl.bsky.social, and the DFL Disability Caucus stand united in building and maintaining a Party that is welcoming and open to all.
We are stronger when we come together and celebrate diversity of all kinds—including diversity of thought.
Looks like the internet is having a hard time of it today.
A nationwide warrant has been issued in the first criminal charges against an ICE agent for on-duty actions during the enforcement surge in Minnesota.
A dark teal graphic with centered white text that reads "Nearly 40,000 people participated in DFL caucus night this year. They came with a wide range of viewpoints and opinions but chose to make a statement by engaging in our party. Since then, I’ve traveled across Minnesota and seen the energy in our organizing unit conventions firsthand. It’s real, and much of it is being shaped by the frustration coming out of Operation Metro Surge. DFLers are tired of the cruelty and the constant overreach of this administration. That’s what makes gimmicks like this so extremely disappointing and exhausting. This is the kind of stuff that makes people wary of engaging in any kind of partisan political activity. At a time of creeping fascism, we should be looking for ways to continue to expand our coalition, not shrink it. There will always be people in this party whose views, tactics, and even personalities don’t align with yours. And that’s okay. But if the whole history of our party has actually taught us anything, from 1968 to 2024, it’s that we win when we do everything in our power to bring voices to the table and lose when we decide to shut voices out. Anything less misses the moment we’re in. We can and should do better — the question is: will we?"
I posted this message elsewhere, but I think it’s important, as a party leader, to clearly call out what thehumphreyproject.com is: a divisive gimmick designed to split our party heading into our state convention. We have so many new people excited to enagnge in our party — we have to do better.
Gotta say, I'm a big Stegosaurus fan. It's got a thagomizer!
Hello fellow individual who is also wrecked emotionally whenever they hear "Everything's Alright".
In Minnesota, we're putting people over profits. Kalshi and Polymarket are both "prediction markets" that the Trump family have invested in, and they are used to turn the assassination of foreign leaders or the outbreak of war into a money-making scheme. #kalshi #polymarket #mn #predictionmarkets
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending conventions on Sat in Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Minneapolis, Eagan, and my own convention on Sun in Saint Paul.
I was also surprised to see Sen. Klobuchar out for the first time on the campaign trail.
But there's a thing here that has me concerned.
