Here are all the books I finished so far this year! I read/listened to about 56 which is almost double what I read last year! I got two more books I'm hoping to finish out the year with.

Cosplayed again for the first time in a little while and had a lot of fun at Holiday Matsuri especially at the X-Men photo shoot. 💚 So great to be Rogue again after so long 😁

Figured I would start with something shorter so I'm listening to Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher (rip 😞). So far I'm enjoying so i think I'm on to something.

So I've been wanting to incorporate more non-fiction into my reading as well as start getting into audio books so I figured might try both together since I tend to like listening to podcasts and video essays while doing other things.

Well, i'm watching Arcane again lol

Watching another "bad" movie adaptation of a YA book today for the first time. This one i haven't read the book for but I know the gist of the plot for the series and I did own a copy of it at one point. The movie/book in question is "Fallen".

Cursebound was just as solid as Faebound and I'm super excited for book three and the conclusion! Also SCREAMING at that reveal (in a good way!)

It's a good week for books for me this week! Just checked out Cursebound (Faebound book 2) by Saara El-Arifi and Ambessa by C.L. Clark from the library. I've been eagerly anticipating them!

Love the fact that Cursebound (sequel to Faebound) starts with a recap chapter. More book series please do this. Thank you

New ver of "What Have They Done to Us" from the Arcane OST is up on spotify that's gonna be on the new deluxe ed of the soundtrack! Maybe we'll get the orchestral ver of "The Line" from the TGAs in the future finally?

Like at the very least a list of like important characters, a blurb about them, and the factions or whatever.

I wish books in series would have primers and recaps in them cuz waiting 1+ years makes it really hard to remember shit that went down over the course of previous books and sometimes I don't want to go back and reread 300-400 pages of previous books in the series xD

Same! I just mentioned it cuz everyone (including me) is hyped over Arcane so if someone was looking for something new with some similar vibes maybe they'd wanna check it out :D

So if yall like solid animation including a great story with a misunderstood punky mc with pink hair, some complicated queer characters, and found family that will also make you emotional might i recommend Nimona? It's a really good movie and you can watch it on Netflix!

I miss waking up and not being mad at the world. It's been decades.

I just realized Ambessa's title in LoL is the Matriarch of War. XD

Plus it would explain why the Black Rose would want her. A child who comes both from the chosen of the wolf and the aspect of war would definitely be a powerful ally. (3)

(sans Kindred but thats due to Kindred being a death god with different interpretations of him for different cultures). Would it not make sense for Ambessa to have a relationship with the aspect of war? I think its very unlikely but its a fun idea. (2)

Following up on this, Wild theory number 2: Mel's father is Pantheon. xD My logic? Besides the Solari flavor for Mel, Pantheon just got a skin to match Ambessa's despite all of the others in the line being Noxian characters (1)
