This one. Followed the mixes as close as I could and mine look nothing like they should!

5 28mm ghouls part painted
After a couple of days off - not really in the mood... Slapped some paint on some ghouls...
Followed a guide online. Looks nothing like it should but it will do. Just the cloth bits to do and the couple of weapons...
And pondering doing something with the eyes...

3mm Italian Wars miniatures on a miniature landscape of Italy.
3mm Italian Wars project up to date - still to do: black bands, more landsknechts, more missile troops, Spanish Jinetes.
Indeed. Not a job I'd choose. It was hard enough with just my two kids!
I did a couple of similar talks for my kids classes when they were in primary. Had (still have) a box of assorted unstrat and did a bit of clay pipe typology with them. Was quite good fun.
Detail of the Wounding of General Braddock, painting by Robert Griffing
Considering working on French and Indian War at a small scale, like 10mm, to recreate forts and battlefields here in Western Pennsylvania. Has anyone wargamed that conflict at small scale?
I'm thankful for advice on basing and rule systems (thinking Black Powder but open to others)! #wargaming
Anyone on here see Soft Machine in concert 1970 - 1974? I'm currently writing a piece and I'm interested in getting eyewitness accounts of the team in action. If yes, please PM me or send an email (address in my bio)
Thank you. They've been on my list for years. Now I hopefully have the time. Just need to get reading back as part of my daily routine...
A mere 6 hours so pretty good. Last time (2 years ago) was 18 hours and considerably less fun. If I can manage two years before the next one I'll be happy...🙂
You are the chosen one!
Book. Daughter of Crows by Mark Lawrence
The Fortune of War and Desolation Island. Paperbacks by Patrick O'Brian
Nice to get some new reads in t'post. Particularly Daughter of Crows courtesy of @marklawrenceauthor.bsky.social's recent giveaway. Many thanks.
The O'Brian books are part of my retirement plan to read the full series.
A good morale boost after spending last night in A&E. I've had better nights.
When I won this package from @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social I promised to pass on my copy of 1983 to anyone else & share the love - so gang, repist/quote post & the winner willbe chosen at random (apologies for the delay- work has been manic since Easter!!)
Reminded myself at 3am this morning that I can draw whatever the hell I like, in whatever the hell style I choose. The only restrictions are those I set myself.
A simple reminder, immensely freeing 🙂
Wise words
5 28mm ghouls. Front three from Heresy Miniatures. Back two from Northstar Miniatures. All primed black.
Having primed the couple of @northstarfigs.bsky.social ghouls last night I remembered I had some ghouls from @heresyminiatures.com. Needed pinning and gluing but all primed and ready for tomorrow....

Woo! Excellent! Thank you!
Painted this chap tonight and recorded it for a YouTube video. 28mm Afrika Korps infantryman, the other half of the warlord set “war without hate”. I painted the British chap a while back so it’s nice to get him finished! I’ll post some pics of the pair over the weekend.
😁
The trip had me craving after model ships. Again. But then I look at the rigging and sanity prevails...
Civilians varnished and stuck to bases and a couple of ghouls prepped after an excellent day at the Royal Navy Museum in Hartlepool. HMS Trincomalee and associated museum is well worth a visit.

That looks splendid. Very nicely done.
The second of the two 3D printed British squares that Neale sent to me was completed this evening. Another nice addition to my Epic scale Napoleonic collection. #wargaming
Busy evenings painting, managed to paint 19 15mm Napoleonic Prussians for a friend at my local club to match his existing army and then moved onto the last of my 28mm Zulu war British. An officer with the Queens Colour who’s been pestering me to be painted for months now!!!
A rare productive day. Gardening. Sanding and oiling worktops. Dog walk. Pub. Some Battlestar Galactica. And the C18th civilians are done and awaiting varnish and basing.
Tomorrow I'm off to Hartlepool to meet up with Essex Boy and visit museums.
Any model shops in Hartlepool?

Some minor late night daubage on the C18th civilians... Slow progress. But progress...
