Then in this instance, you've eaten Dylithium crystals.
Three months to the day till my 65th birthday! Performances coming up to celebrate https://www.jsimonvanderwalt.com/65
Years ago i took part in a performance of this and it really is a great of concentration. What i remember was that after being so totally focused on a narrow band of frequencies from the wood (which incidentally is loud) for so long, how strange, bright and intense the applause sounded afterwards.
String quartet score, shows each instrument doing a slow gliss, moving from one chord to another.
Long shot: can anyone think of composers/works that explore the sound of slowly sliding from chord to chord? Eg voices, trombone, strings, electronics?
Might not be exactly what you're looking for, but:
Yannis Kyriakides - hYDAtorizon
Xenakis - Metastasis
Jay Schwartz - (check out his soundcloud, but maybe 'Delta')
Lutoslawski - Opening of Mi Parti?
Alvin Lucier - few things but maybe stuff on the album Ten Circles.
I'm pretty sure i met her about 20-odd years ago. She used to be a pianist for one of the Dance schools in Glasgow.
I've found this 1996 track from Maria João stuck in my head last couple of days. Featuring Ralph Towner, Manu Katche, and a fantastic solo by Mario Langinha. Worth the 6 and a half minutes.
Pretty awesome recent-ish recording of Grisey's Vortex Temporum i hadn't heard before by Ukranian ensemble Ukho Ensemble Kyiv

I remember this well. It was ultimately the final nail in the coffin for my using Finale.
Librarian.

Wholesome sitcom.
Caught in the act.
The morning after.
Kindly.
For the last half hour, I've been amusing myself by drawing eyes on images of the Xenomorph from Alien.
Pretty much every time I watch one of the videos by YouTube channel MakeWeirdMusic, i end up hearing something i like and downloading it on Bandcamp. Downloaded 4 albums last week, and think I'm likely to download this new album by Tonnen Von Hall now. #tonnenvonhall #newmusic
Cover to book: 'Self-similar Melodies' by Tom Johnson.
Wasn't sure if composer Tom Johnson's (self-) publishing house would still be accepting orders, following his recent passing. But a nice fellow there sent this on to me. Been thinking a lot about permutations in melodic writing recently, so looking forward to reading this.
Set yourself a time limit on email (~1/2 hr) and read through. respond till time is up. If something you can give instant reply to, do, but if going to take longer/more nuanced, mark as unread again then decide on a time later in the day or another day to deal with it. Then get on with your work.
