He's looking down at Lyonel, who's on his hands and knees at his feet, looking back up at Duncan with an eager to please expression, like an excited puppy
Supplication.

A four panel illustration of Dennis Whitaker, Dana Evans, Frank Langdon, and "Robby" Robinavitch from The Pitt. Each character is featured with a watercolor-style illustration of a flower or plant with them. Dennis has gardenias, Dana has zinnias, Frank has lotus blossoms, and Robby has clovers. this can apply to many fictional men, but the specific one in that conversation was this guy
(i have not watched this show but he is Compelling)
so glad i have friends where i can describe a fictional man as "chewable" and they know exactly what i mean
A digital painting of an ice cube, followed by several hands closed over each other with water pouring from them. Bold text on the art reads: "ICE MELTS".

A photorealistic 3D rendering portrait of Cardinal Copia, the fourth frontman of the band Ghost, during the Prequelle Era. He’s wearing the leather jacket variant of his black casual outfit and gloves, and doing a simple standing pose. His left hand is closed in a fist and rests on his hip, and the right hand (in which he wears the silver plague doctor ring on the ring finger and skull ring on the pinky) is “caressing” the leather near the collar. The background (blurred due to the depth of field settings) is composed of classic wood wall panels and dark-red curtains with golden embroidery pattern on both sides, kept open by simple curtain holders and lit up by one of the red lamps from the setup, positioned at the center, which also contours Copia’s silhouette. The main lighting is a slight variation of Rembrandt’s, coming from the right side and positioned in a way to highlight his face, accessories, and the cross detail of the glove on his left hand. Copia’s face sculpting, represented here as a real face (although stylized) instead of a mask, was based mostly on the variant used for concerts, but the initial iterations of the character were taken into consideration for adjusting the proportions of his nose and lips. I’ve opted to keep the white contact lens for his left eye instead of adapting it as a heterochromatic variation not only for learning purposes on layered shading but because it also looks better on him :) His makeup is based on a later moment of the tour, with larger black (glittery) paint around his eyes. His hair is combed back, already losing its shape at the sides, and he has a neutral expression, just staring at the camera with parted lips. Project from 2019, entirely made by humans.
An already old project, but it's about time to give this babygirl a better home. 💖

two digital paintings based on screenshots from episode 8 of The Terror. The first painting shows Edward Little in profile with his face downcast, in immense grief. The second follows the same shot, with Little's head now up, looking lost and immeasurably pained. There is text on either painting; one lyric from Bastille's song "Blue Sky & The Painter," that reads, "Would I be who I am without this sadness in me?"
Is that a blue sky? Is that a blue sky?
It's about damn time. It's about damn time.

a two panel comic illustrating the growth of friendship between Edward Little, George Hodgson, and John Irving from Day 1 to Day 100. On Day 1 we see the lieutenants in their dress uniforms, with Hodgson introducing Little to Irving. Their handshake is polite, as is their regard. on Day 100, the three are seated in their every day uniforms, with Little and Irving laughing easily as Hodgson talks, pointing at Little across the table.
"We all know each other probably as well as we ever shall & I really think there could hardly have been selected a set more likely to get on together."

John Irving and Edward Little from The Terror. Little is holding Irving close, arm around his back, and pressing their foreheads together. He's gazing at him softly but directly, with a slight smile. Irving matches his gaze nervously, his hand between them, but he isn't stopping the embrace.
i can't think about Irving and Little for too long or i start shaking uncontrollably
