The track was made with a sample taken from an unmarked tape found in a second hand memo recorder I bought. On the cassette are home-made rehearsal recordings from an opera singer. Now that was a nice surprise!

The score was done by me (duh), together with the amazing cello player Lucija Gregov, and is now available as an album too (digital only) with two outtakes added for ultimate listening pleasure.
Another performance by Marta & Kim, this time with added dancers Marie Khatib-Shahidi and Hellen Boyko. The gorgeous piece (with fantastic lighting design by Loes Schakenbos) premièred in The Hague recently, and will be performed throughout the Netherlands in the coming months.

It’s quite different from the live expererience, with shorter, more studio-taylored songs. Besides adding electronics, my job was to mix the album (after Roel Snellebrand did a first rough draft) and do some editing and manipulations. It turned out really well, so please take a listen.
