`git status` has now joined `clear` and `ls` in the list of commands I blindly and repeatedly start typing in a terminal when I'm trying to remember what I was doing.

@usrbinkat.io delivered a fantastic devops talk at #scale23x, and now my brain is full.
I walked by that! I’ll have to stop by and check it out tomorrow
Seeing lots of #planetNix at #scale23x has me interested! I missed the intro to nix talk, how should I jump into Nix?
A screencap of gmail with the subject of "Thank you for activating your product" with a count of 33
Forgot I had the Humble Choice Bundle so I went through 4 months of games to grab it all.
@nrowland2.bsky.social sound like a good module to have?
What browser would you recommend if not Firefox? From what I’ve found everything is either an alpha product or based off chromium.
Back from leave and Github and HCP are so slow. Did I forget or have they just gotten even worse over the last few months?
Honestly this works for everything
“I want to trap hungry 19c ghosts in jars to help us with historical research” ✅
“Please read our holiday card; we got a hungry ghost to write it this year” ❌

“if these tools are going to exist regardless of what I think is "right", is decently cheap, and is genuinely useful, I may as well take advantage of this while the gravy train lasts.”
Gotta keep a random collection of txt/markdown files in ~/notes/ from now on. Makes it easy to grep too.
Is this a copypasta idk about or did framework actually fuck up lol
Have you checked out neovim+lazyvim?
Really depends on your OS, on Ubuntu or Fedora with Gnome you can search for “Software” to bring up the ‘app store’. On terminal you can try apt search sooperlooper or dnf search sooperlooper.
But um, did you check apt/dnf?
Hard to beat the classics, Fedora or Debian. Fedora KDE has been my go to recommendation for the last year.
I want a computer that looks, sounds, and feels like it was from the set of Alien
steamdeck zip drive cartridges you clonk in with 1tb of games on each
Throw your favorite os on a box and then install yunohost.org on it. I can’t think of anything as good with as low amount of effort needed.
I first ran into #inideweb of course, but then I got into the infra side of it. People are running their own
Name servers: beta.servfail.network
Their own Internet: notes.pault.ag/tpl/
I’ve had time off work recently and have been using that time to explore Linux and tech for personal use instead of what I need for work.
That’s led me to the Indie Web or revival web side of the internet and I’ve been loving the premise of making the internet smaller, decentralized and personal.
I’m going to assume this is Ubuntu. That’s the only distribution that ever gives me weird package manager issues
Login as root and you’ll never get another sudo prompt. (Please don’t do this)

I’m still sad about Jet. How about just using podman and bash?
I can’t tell if I’m missing something or if the ansible molecule docs are just very badly written.
I, for one, welcome the “abundance” fight. It shows the left can fight Trumpism while wrestling with how we can be better than we’ve been.
I have no interest in “actually the government has been doing great” liberalism.
