I think I may have slept 0-3 hours last night. Let’s just keep it DST forever.

A man ran by me, smiling. I smiled back, genuinely happy to see someone running w a smile. You don’t see that very often, I thought. Then a bicyclist rode by me, also w a smile. Uh oh, I pondered. Do I look weird? This is Philly. Are we all happy at once? Hope so.

I hate the change of the clocks, but you know what I love? Sunlight. Sunlight at 7pm. Sunlight at 8pm. Living in a world where I can work and also make it to places where things close at sunset and still have a couple hours to enjoy them. The sleep thing is annoying though.

I think about these lyrics a lot.
“If I die before I learn to speak
Can money pay for all the days I lived awake
But half asleep?”

The American Library Association strongly denounces new federal book banning legislation proposed in Congress. Call your Reps. Tell them to oppose H.R. 7661. Capitol switchboard: 202-224-3121 American Library Association, Show Up For Our Libraries
"Parents, not politicians, should guide their children’s reading. In our school, campus, and public libraries, materials are selected by trained literacy professionals who understand child development and community needs. Their work is grounded in one clear purpose: helping young people become lifelong readers. H.R. 7661 isn’t fundamentally about protecting kids. It’s about giving politicians broad authority to restrict whose stories are allowed on the shelves. That should concern anyone who believes in the freedom to read and the right of families to make decisions for themselves.” - ALA President Sam Helmick
"Rather than targeting librarians and teachers, Congress should invest in them. The Right to Read Act offers a better path, supporting well-staffed and well-resourced school libraries, strengthening evidence-based literacy instruction, and protecting the dedicated professionals who help young people discover books that open doors and expand horizons. When we trust families, support educators, and protect the freedom to read, our young people thrive.” - ALA President Sam Helmick.

I’m taking this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame vote like it’s Survivor. Alliances are being formed. My friend Tim will vote for Phil Collins and Oasis if I vote for Jeff Buckley.
Hope you vote for Phil Collins and Oasis. 💙🇬🇧💙

Do comedians ever hit it big and have a moment where they’re like, “Oh, crud. This means that one person in my life is going to know that I built my comedy empire on a series of unfortunate interactions between us.”?
It sure would be fun to interview the other person.

I don’t get snow days, but I’m staying up like it’s the blizzard of ‘96 and I am still hopeful I’ll get a whole week off from school.

This is terrorism. We are watching it happen, and I can’t help but think we are almost all to blame because it’s still happening.
