Saw this👇🏼 last night & highly recommend it.. gives an eye opening insight into algorithms used by X, FB and TikTok
Which proactively push rage triggers, misinformation & far right posts on feeds as they get more clicks & increase $’s
Also reveals how far they cut back on moderation & monitoring 😳

The Kick Inside—Kate Bush
Signed at 16, with her first release some 4 years later, it is jaw-dropping just how assured and confident this debut is. It's an artist arriving fully-formed, breaking every rule and producing a masterpiece in the process.

Almost certainly top of my 5. The sheer imagination and ability to bring that to life…
😙👌
Dick Tice being a….
Usual wide variety - Luka still hits, Pastels is an underrated gem, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Public Enemy, Pixies, Smiths all great… maybe the Cure. 🤷♂️
As always the fun is in the surprises, arguments & inevitable slaggings.
I don't know how to explain to the people who pop up when creatives complain about "AI" to say there are legit uses for it just how much they sound like someone saying "Well actually fire is used to make bread" when people are talking about an organized arson ring burning down their fucking houses
Congratulations to David @brokenchanter.bsky.social on his excellent fourth album out on this very label today.
CHEM290 is a fine release indeed and one that we are very proud to have lovingly and carefully chucked into the world on vinyl, CD, and DD.

#5DebutAlbums1519 Self titled debut by Broken Chanter - 2019 @brokenchanter.bsky.social
David MacGregor’s solo project starts here with an LP full of bouncing melodies & musical power, countered by more reflective songs, all melded together by contrasting lyrical melancholy & optimism. Superb.

“Homemade Lemonade” by Carla J Easton as Ette @carlajeaston.bsky.social 2016
A glorious, girl group influenced, indie pop LP, lyrically witty, melodically ace, perfect from start to finish, all by an artist doing it their way. A sparkling pop gem of an album!
A celebration of sport that is priced for millionaires. Awful organisation.
Lonelady - Former Things - a fantastic album and ridiculously irresistible at that price.

Absolutely. If not, we take to the streets!
Two absolutely mind-blowing new novels 🙏
Nearly. Phoebe Bridgers at the Barrowland Ballroom.
Absolutely epic gig, and roasting hot. Warmest evening I’ve ever experienced in that venue.
If you see this, post a gig photo that you took.
Classic.
Jenny Lewis - The Voyager
Today’s LP is a belter.
Lewis has a magic voice & writes brilliant songs with startling honesty & humour, & makes the songs so catchy.
Lewis should be so much more well known & popular.

Agreed, my favourite from last year too, and so grateful to have seen your post… the wonderful thing about this platform (since ‘the other place’ became a hellhole ) is that we can find these beautiful little gems in our music communities.
Big thanks to @rusky.bsky.social who made me aware of the gorgeous “Red sky at morning” by h. pruz.
I fell in love within a minute & I immediately ordered the LP.
It has grown into my soul & is a musical constant.
The power of the BlueSky music community❤️

Phoebe Bridgers - Strangers In The Alps 2017
Once in a while an artist arrives & their LP makes you fall so completely in love with it, that it becomes almost a part of your soul.
Ridiculously stellar debut; her voice, incredible songwriting, great covers & fantastic production.
The vincible ignorance & choice to be wilfully, deliberately obtuse has been staggering in its stupidity.
WE ALL KNEW it was a project to help millionaires & billionaires screw us over, & the start aggressive blaming of ‘others’, the end result being attempts to remove & roll back all our rights.
