It is Charlotte, yes! Pridespiel this past weekend.

First time for me after having had the club on my list for a while, I'm so happy I finally got a chance to go. I'll definitely be back, I had a great time.

In addition, Charlotte itself is really nice too. We lucked into a very chill schedule (and won when needed to avoid the early draw), so had lots of time to just hang out, walk around, and eat lots of good food. You can tell its a growing (and, tbf, gentrifying) city, lots of good options all over.

it was very even and predictable all weekend (we had maybe a handful of rocks where we were like “huh, this one really floated” or w/e), and! it pretty much kept the speed all game long! We could basically throw the same weight in the 8th that we did in the 2nd. 😚👌

GREAT club, definitely attend a spiel if you can. Checks all the usual curling community boxes—super friendly crowd, good vibes, well organized, well stocked bar, good food provided plus snacks, etc.—but I was really impressed with the ice in particular; (contd. below)

I just finished the last of these beans. Not all of them hit for me, but all four bags featured very distinct flavors. My favorite was the Jhon Rodriguez Ombligon; idk what the “advanced washed” process entails, but it made for a SUPER well-rounded cup that was clean and bright but never bitter.
