That's probably not wrong, and it explains why all the post-facto explanations add up to a nonsense: Everyone either consciously or subconsciously had reconstructed imagined policy imperatives that relives them of individual responsibility.

The Sleepwalkers, by Christopher Clark, is about the best take on the outbreak of WWI you're gonna find.

The traditional narrative is that deliberate policies of Russia, Austria-Hungary, Germany and France predetermined their actions. Clark's take is that the July crisis was policy improvisation.

Medvedev is a drunk and his job is to keep Russians high on their own supply. His individual utterances are 100 percent not news. The news is the message in aggregate. Covering his bullshit on individual turd basis is essentially misleading reporting.

I think that both the Nation and the veteran community would be better off as a whole if people demanded more of us and reminded us regularly that we agreed to uphold high standards and be a part of something bigger than ourselves.

I don't believe that you fulfilled your commitment to your country and community when you hit your EAOS. I think it continues, in whatever way you find that best serves the American people and your community.

I think the "thank you for your service" thing really takes veterans off the hook. There's a lot of agreement among us post-9/11 types that we don't like being thanked. Maybe if people insist on saying "thank you," they could pair it with "What are you doing to continue to serve the nation today?"

He keeps us on schedule with meals, play, "work" (he puts his toys away in the basket) and bedtime.

Zigs is a very funny dog. The Late Hound and patron saint was just the polar opposite personality of this guy. Layla liked big adventures with lots of sniffs and to generally do her own thing. Ziggy just likes to be included, needs at least two cuddles a day, and needs his little jobs to perform

I believe pharmacies in the UK are contracted with the NHS but are independent businesses. France as well but they regulate that each pharmacy is pharmacist owned, I believe. I certainly see your point -- this issue in particular is complicated the world over

This was inevitable. Escalation beyond this point is not, but it cannot be discounted. An accident that causes a death would quickly become a crisis, as we saw a few weeks back with the PH fisherman killed by a transiting ship.
