I actually have a picture disc vinyl that’s a sunny side up egg bsky.app/profile/megc...
the art of being high listening to music on my beats was lost while i was doing a YEAR LONG vinyl listening challenge
PLEASEEEEE ILL NEVER UNSEE THAT
IM SORRY 😭 i think if it was on like… reputation id like it? but it sounds so out of place on folklore. if that makes sense
I have started budgeting like, way better in the last couple years and it has become more clear to me why I am in so much debt LOL. I have chosen to part ways with a few of these - check out my discogs shop if you might be interested! 🫶🏻 www.discogs.com/seller/megcl...
THAT CONCLUDES THIS PROJECT!!!! Thank the fucking lord. I had no idea how long this would go on for. I’m so glad to be done. I am also glad to have taken time to appreciate everything in my collection though, just making these posts has been exhausting. But, once I start a project, I am committed.
#558: Fortnight by Taylor Swift, which turns into more and more of an all time favourite with each listen as well. TTPD as a whole was such a grower. Such a hauntingly beautiful track. That b-side remix, mind you, is abhorrent.
#557: The Lakes by Taylor Swift - such a pretty song that I grow to appreciate more with each listen. I remember waiting out hours for this one. I don’t remember the original version being so bad mind you? That side B demo is… rough. The production is so weird 😭
#556: The only old Taylor 7” I’ve managed to get my hands on yet is “Should’ve Said No.” Copped this one for about $60 on Discogs. I got super lucky! The cover is super cute and brings back so much nostalgia from when being a Taylor fan used to be about girlhood 🥲
#555: Single Soon by Selena Gomez - such a fun song, also so funny to listen to knowing where she’s at these days. They added this one to my work’s playlist recently, and it reminded me how great it is. It deserved to be a summer smash!
#554: Decode / I Caught Myself by Paramore - while I don’t give a shit about Twilight, that soundtrack SLAPS. “Decode” especially is an amazing song. I seem to recall I found this one in a physical Urban store and was so excited.
#553: I really love this cute little 7” of Noah Kahan and Olivia Rodrigo covering each other’s songs. For sure one of my fav RSD buys from over the years!
#552: Flexi-discs are a pain in the ass but also sick as fuck, and I’m super lucky to own this rare 7” of “Vampires Will Never Hurt You” by My Chemical Romance. I jumped on this one as a Spotify top fans offer, and it’s so cool.
#551: Silk Chiffon by MUNA feat. Phoebe Bridgers, a beautiful track about sapphic joy. I love this 7” dearly, especially the But I’m A Cheerleader inspired cover art.
#550: I am thrilled this was released for singles day this year, though the star-shaped mockup going around was so much cooler 😭 “Walk of Fame” is my fav song of 2025, and I wish it wasn’t the shortened versions of that and “Reborn” on here but oh well. I cherish it regardless!
#549: Venus Fly Trap by MARINA, one of my fav songs by her, with a remix featuring Kito and Tove Lo. The cover art for this single is sick too. I wish I owned more of MARINA’s vinyl!
#548: I am SO happy to own Marianas Trench’s Something Old/Something New. It was one of my biggest ISOs for the longest time until it finally got a repress forever. With two standalone 2014 singles and two previously unreleased jams from pre-Fix Me, it’s just perfect.
#547: Kissing Lessons / Thumbs Again by Lucy Dacus. “Thumbs Again” is basically just a different arrangement of “Thumbs” from Home Video, but “Kissing Lessons” is a total sapphic banger. I love the cover art too!
#546: Though this is intended to be a vinyl for “Spring Into Summer,” I bought it for the b-side, “Pushing It Down And Praying.” A magical track and for sure one of Lizzy McAlpine’s best ever. The cover is super pretty as well, and I like the vinyl colour in person better than the mockup.
#545: Ceilings by Lizzy McAlpine. This song is utterly beautiful, and I’m honestly shocked how pretty the vinyl is for a 7”. This style of splatter is one of my fav pressings ever, and I couldn’t resist when this released.
#544: Say Yes To Heaven / Black Beauty by Lana Del Rey, another picture disc 7”, this one with the same pic on each side (boo). I like this song and it’s not on any other record of hers so here we are!
#543: Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande’s Rain On Me on a 7” picture disc! I love this collab, and this vinyl is just adorable. My fav work on Chromatica for sure.
#542: Watermelon Sugar by Harry Styles - another absolutely adorable vinyl. I was thrilled to find this one on my Arizona trip, as it had been an ISO for a while - but the fact that the sale sticker is on the actual vinyl sleeve is crazy work?
#541: Without Me by Halsey, a total jam and super iconic, though I do believe it’s overhyped - it being regarded as H’s best song is crazy, they have made soooooo much better.
#540: Gasoline by HAIM ft. Taylor Swift (the original on side A, that version on side B) I already loved this song, but the version with Taylor is just electric. Such a cutie patootie little vinyl!
#539: We’re really reaching the home stretch here and I can’t wait to be done. First off for tonight, this absolutely gorgeous pressing of “we fell in love in october” by Girl In Red. An amazing song and this vinyl just screams fall.
3 years ago today, Taylor Swift released “Lavender Haze.”
Eight bars of goat milk soap, set into a box and photographed a bit like they're vertical. The soaps all have different coloured tops with pretty swirls and gold accents.
This order was so pretty as I packaged it up.
#538: Maybe it’s just cause I saw her open for the Eras Tour, but I have a soft spot for Gayle. “ABCDEFU” is very obviously a TikTok song, as are many songs by newer artists nowadays. I do prefer the angst in the ‘angrier’ version better, but still happy to own this.
