i don't default to violence. i'm more likely to just try and explain why what was said was racist or walk away if i don't feel like its worth it, but what he said was so blatantly and Egregiously racist there was a 0% chance he wasn't both aware of it and chose to say it anyway. disgusting.

Colored sketch fanart of The Tyrant from FFXIV's Dawntrail, Arcadion raid series. A tan elezen man with long ears, a confident grin, purple eyes, grey hair pulled back behind his head, wearing a black leather open chested top, pointing his fingers towards the viewer as if showing off to a crowd, with the "Next Opponent" text from the game written and copied and flipped behind him in neon red lettering.

"It's Tyranny Time, folks! He knows no mercy, and he's never tasted defeat!"

Fixed up Tyrant a wee bit ❤️

>makes post talking about not Playing XIV
>has played 30 hours of XIV PvP in the past 7 days

Even if the PvP is still fun, i truly need to find SOMETHING else to get me away from this game. the pains trying to replace the primary hobby in your life i suppose.

fair enough i suppose. i'm just used to think as if i'm a greedy MF CEO who cares only about moeny money money when it comes to things like this

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

what i'm insinuating is that i doubt nintendo sees value in doing it. the game sold poorly, and forces a rework of how the game works to work on a different console. they likely don't see any value to a port unlike with most other Wii U games that did get ported

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

the thing is the game was build around using two screens and subbing in mouse controls wouldn't really fix that problem. You'd have to overhaul the game to be able to work on one screen. you could make mouse controls work in some way, but it wouldn't fix that fundamental issue.

now to be clear, i'd want these things changed to begin with, but considering how poorly Zero sold on an already low install base console, and how much work it would take to port it, Zero just seems destined to be in Wii U jail forever and that honestly makes me sad.

Man, i know pretty much every game that was on the Wii U deserves to be free from it but i really don't see how Starfox Zero gets ported without a lot of fundamental changes to the game thanks to the two screen play. you'd have to change how both the camera and aiming work and that's a lot of work

See i think a key difference there is that gyro in a game like Splatoon is intuitive, while also strictly superior because of the greater control you get vs aiming with the stick

with SFZ the controls aren't intuitive and have an adaptation process that can take hours, and that's a lot to ask.

anyway this has been the lordfluffy yaps about starfox for 8 or 9 posts bluesky thread.

there's a deep love for this franchise that even through my gripes with other entries, wants it to thrive and flourish no matter the form it takes. I sure do want it to take a specific form though lmao

1 week ago 2 0 0 0

I want starfox to thrive, i want to be able to play a starfox game that gives me that same desire to fly, improve and replay like i've had from SF64 for near three decades, but honestly if this supposed new starfox game that's rumored can't do it, it might just be time to look for indie successors

I said it before, i'll say it again, Starfox Zero was not wrong to try and emulate the SF64 style again, but the misguided decisions regarding the forced motion controls, rebooting the story (again) and the absolutely half assed alternate routes hampered what is honestly a great game under it all.

1 week ago 0 0 1 0

with refinement to the grounded gameplay, (and removal of turret sections,) Assault's gameplay style could work and does deserve another chance at life imo, but beyond anything else, an option of alternate pathways Akin to SF64 i feel is necessary to increase the replay value inherent to SF's design

1 week ago 0 0 1 0

i'm of two minds about what i'd want from a new Starfox game.
the first is obviously, Starfox 64 style, multiple pathways to wholly unique levels with the classic control scheme, as i do think they really haven't explored this correctly since 64,

but the 2nd is, unironically, more assault oriented

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

with all that being said, i pretty much still like every entry except for command, as they all have good enjoyable aspects to them through any flaws they have, but they all give me the same thought process, (especially Zero) which is "i could just play SF64 instead" and i wish that wasn't the case

1 week ago 0 0 1 0

Zero could've been the game to really dethrone SF64's dominance in the franchise, but the force motion controls and half assed alternate routes really hamper what could've been a true return to form.

Assault is the only one where i genuinely think liking it more than 64 is both fair and respectable

1 week ago 1 0 2 0

OG Starfox is dated as hell and even though its still enjoyable, suffering through that lag can be a pain on the eyes.
SF2 in a lot of ways is just SF64's prototype and while i appreciate it, don't have that same replayability.
Adventures isn't a SF game
and command is just, worse SF2 pretty much
