Posting the pages of my children’s book here to motivate myself to finish.

The text and images are AI (as you will probably notice), but the plot, the characters, the twists and the turns are mine.

What’s the best tool for “regular” business users to use AI for analytics. Claude Code does really solid analysis but it’s not really right for totally non-technical users. So what is?

a graph of US office construction spending versus US data center construction spending

a graph of US office construction spending versus US data center construction spending

The US is now building more data centers than office buildings for the first time

Spending on data centers hit a record high of nearly $47B/yr in data released today, up 31% over the last year, as office construction keeps falling

Also, I'm aware this graph looks like Kentucky

Kyle Fish on the most bizarre findings from 5 AI welfare experiments | 80,000 Hours

Very thought provoking on AI welfare. He says we don’t understand AI or consciousness well enough to say AI is not conscious for sure and gives a 20% probability for some form of consciousness.

We're getting extremely close to the day when America spends more money to build data centers than office buildings

Only 5 years ago, office construction spending was 7x data center spending

Bluesky’s logo, a trusted verifier’s scalloped checkmark, and a standard verified blue check mark.

We’re introducing a new layer of verification on Bluesky — a user-friendly, easily recognizable blue check.

In addition to account verification issued by Bluesky, we're also introducing Trusted Verifiers. Select independent organizations can verify accounts directly.

So much talk about AI coding tools, vibe coding, AI agents

So many complaints of these tools “breaking down” above some complexity / context length

So little - basically no - talk about software architecture that makes for code devs can easily maintain/evolve. Or AI tools!

Starting this week, we've made it even easier for newsrooms and more to track how much traffic Bluesky is sending to their sites.

For those setting up analytics, Bluesky's referrer is go.bsky.app.

Excluded “via the Python sdk” last time. Now excluding “from Python sdk”. Let me know if you came across still more.

Tranquil Tabs - Chrome Web Store Quickly close all tabs except the leftmost one and those on allowed domains. Also, allow the current tab’s domain with one click.

I created another Chrome extension. This one is for closing your open tabs automatically so you don’t accumulate endless open tabs. Would be great if you tried it out and let me know what you thought.

Created a custom feed for vegan recipes. I already had one for vegan/vegetarian recipes, but it’s good to have something solely dedicated to vegan ones.
