Packing up and heading out for breakfast before we pick up a rental car and drive to Lafayette, LA for the Festival International. We’ll be there for a week.

Incredible weekend at the French Quarter fest with good music, great friends and lots of wonderful food and drink. We’ve barely time to rest up before the next festival, which starts on Wednesday evening. #NOLAtilyoudie
The temperature extremes in Louisiana this time of year are incredible. Overnight it's gone from the high 80°s with lots of humidity to 62° with 20 mph winds. Might be too chilly for the festival this morning...maybe we'll find a crawfish boil instead. We'll see what develops later. #NOLA
No sh*t.
The rain is starting and if this were happening when we first got here it would be more of a problem but since we've had several days of heat and humidity and thousands of steps we are ready to hunker down for a moment. We have coffee and breakfast goods for the morning and we can relax now. #NOLA
Don't jinx it, man!
The reason so many people want him dead is because that is the only way all of this will end.
His underlings have told us this in as many ways as they know how.
How can we convince Trump that he can earn the ultimate peace prize if he just……?
All of the music we’ve heard thus far at the French Quarter festival has been outstanding; all local Louisiana bands. Crazy scene in the quarter afterwards, though. While waiting in line to get into a restaurant a religious group arrived on Bourbon street and proceeded to yell at folks for drinking!
We got up rather late for the first day of French Quarter fest after last night’s activities but we’ll get out there soon. I’m enjoying the food, music and weather and very much ignoring the news. #NOLA
Arrived in #NewOrleans last night in time to get to Breauxmart for groceries before it closed. Today we need to figure out public transport around a huge construction site to get where we’re going. There’s a free concert in Lafayette square this afternoon and we’ve a dinner reservation afterward.
🤣🤣🤣
Pretty sweet flight experience this morning starting with Delta airlines’ curbside baggage check with no waiting upon our arrival at the airport and an the uncrowded terminal with kind and patient TSA agents. Pretty unexpected, actually!
I don't like it, either. I would hate to think the choice in CA is between two Republicans.
Spending my birthday packing for our trip to Louisiana tomorrow morning. We’ll be there for a month this time. No late night revelry for me today - we did all that on the weekend.
Okay folks, midterm elections aren’t that far off, let’s Budapest this motherfucker.
Trump absolutely needs to go first.
I’m sorry, but it’s ridiculous to ask anyone to step down as a result of accusations of sexual misconduct while Donald Trump is still in the White House. WTH????
Thinking about Budapest today and hoping that Hungary can set an example for the USA and rid themselves of their far right leaning fascist dictator.
Well, there’s that.
What was the good news, then?
The little league game we were excited to be able to see this afternoon has been canceled due to rain. We’re so disappointed. Of course, now that the games are off the sun appears to be coming out.
Wow, the California governor's race has gotten ugly. Good thing we're leaving on Tuesday. We'll vote in the primary once we return. Hope things are sorted out a bit better by then. #livingintheUSA
Isn't it nice when your country's president is an international joke? 🤡
You know I love watching the game on AppleTV+ because I can watch it anywhere in the world with no VPN needed (unlike watching on NBCSBA through YouTubeTV). But it’s hard to say whether the bar will be showing the game while we’re at happy hour this afternoon. Go #SFGiants!
In the spirit of Easter!
I thought they were spies
We thought we were hearing things, too!
I prefer presidents who don’t threaten to end civilizations.
