Unfortunately too busy to do the remaining days of Solavellanweek 😭😭

Loving someone isn’t a weakness, but a strength instead. The vulnerability that comes with it is not to be taken lightly, she thought as a tear slipped down her cheek.

One day, she will see him again and things will be different.

Lavellan couldn’t help herself, she buried her face in Varric’s shoulder, soaking in the comfort.
Her heart ached, maybe she was indeed still mourning what could have been.

Varric watched her for a moment, then he mumbled. “Come here, my friend.”
He wrapped his arms around her tired form, sensing that even the mighty Inquisitor wasn’t always the unbreakable force behind the scenes as she was in public.

Her mind drifted back to their breakup in Crestwood, a frown immediately forming on her face at the thought of it.

“..You’re overthinking again, Inquisitor.” Varric mumbled as he patted Lavellan’s back.
“Get some rest for tonight alright?” She didn’t say anything, opting to nod silently instead.

Maybe then.. maybe then she could talk to Solas.. maybe then they could finally be together again..
She couldn’t deny how left behind she felt in the entire situation. It’s like he never even tried for them.

It was comforting to Lavellan to see her friend put so much faith in his contact. She knew that Varric had the best out there. Maybe she could focus on the situation in the south again until Rook comes back with a lead.

“We will find him. Don't forget, I will be meeting with Rook next week to get them on track with everything. They won't let us down, trust me.” Varric grinned.

“You're being too hard on yourself, Lavellan. Solas has always kept things to himself, telling clever half truths to hide his plans. None of us could have known.” Varric said with sympathy.

She needed to find him, needed to see him again and stop his plans while she still could.

“All this.. Varric, you know I'm to blame for it too.” The dwarf scoffed at this and made his way over to his friend, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

“There's work to be done, Varric. We will never find him otherwise.” The elf frowned.
It has been about 8 years now since she's last seen Solas. A long time for anyone but despite the long time, she never gave up on him.

She had a hard time focusing on the task at hand, a headache plaguing her as the words on the countless letters spread out before her seemed to swim and merge.

“You should take a break, Inquisitior.” Varric's voice sounded out at the doorway. Lavellan groaned as she leaned back in her chair.

Lavellan was past mourning what they could have been but not past hoping for the future. Despite his enigmatic and stoic behavior, the seemingly omniscient apostate had taken a special place in her heart.

Past events had become a blur in the rush of everything but there has always been one constant in her life that she could never quite let go of - Solas.

Sometimes, Lavellan didn't really notice how time just rushed by. With everything that happened from her memory loss to the inquisition, its disbanding and the years that followed.

Just now found out about Solavellan week.. man I don't have time to draw but at least I can write little threads.
