Do not for one second think that Republicans won’t confirm Warsh.

He started the Birther campaign questioning where Obama was born to delegitimize his presidency because he’s Black. It’s been a nasty, racist campaign waged by Trump and the Republican Party against President Obama.
It’s about preserving America’s racial hierarchy and it’s scary.
Because Trump is incompetent and the people he’s surrounded himself with are incompetent. Whereas, the people surrounding Obama were in fact competent.
So many racist people offended by the very existence of the first Black president is how this nation ended up with the most racist president in modern history.
I grew up in NYC - we knew all about Trump and his racism. Racism isn’t disqualifying in this country so he’s president a second time.
Trump is offended by the very existence of the first Black president because he’s racist. It’s why he’s spent so much time trying to destroy Obama’s achievements.
This is rhetoric Republicans use on a daily basis and the media never holds them to account on the gutter racism and bigotry.
Worse, American voters keep electing them because racism and bigotry just isn’t disqualifying for them.
He is so missed.
All in service of preserving America’s racial hierarchy.
Especially since prices are even higher than they were under Biden because of Trump’s policies. Trump’s approval rating should be a lot lower than it is but that demonstrates that it was never really about high prices and that there’s a problem with the American electorate.
the most explicitly racist campaign I've ever SEEN by far and more than a comfortable amount of white people acted like it was just another Tucker Carlson broadcast. It was one of many chilling moments in 2024.
It’s stunning when you think about how blatantly racist and bigoted the 2024 campaign was. It was not called out by the media.
The electorate listened to that rhetoric and affirmatively voted for it. There’s a racism and bigotry problem in the electorate and ignoring the problem won’t solve it.
They don't because they have just as hard a time parsing out the nuance between the average Republican's rhetoric (especially online) and Nick Fuentes, and pretense was the only real difference. Now that they THINK they don't need it, they're naked Klansmen.
Shameful that the media is incapable of properly questioning Republicans about their Confederacy 2.0 agenda. Having minority reporters would probably help them do that
but the media was all in on dismantling DEI and here we are.
The heart of Fuentes’s message was that young men in the United States have gotten a rotten deal. In his telling, a nation of entitled baby boomers, like those leading the Republican Party, had poisoned American society with bad jobs, unbearable women and a racially diverse population intent on depriving White people of what they’re owed
Maybe the Republican Party can’t deal with its Nick Fuentes problem because this message is more or less the same as theirs so the criticism comes off as disingenuous www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2...
There is no distinction between the Republican Party’s rhetoric and Fuentes’ Nazi rhetoric. In fact, the leader of the Republican Party dined with Nazi Fuentes and West whose rhetoric is indistinguishable from white supremacists. Too bad the media won’t hold Republicans to account for that rhetoric.
So much corruption . . .
It was a great movie. It’s based on my favorite book by Baldwin and Barry Jenkins is a beautiful film maker.
Trump ran one of the most racist campaigns in modern American history where he used Nazi rhetoric and promised to resurrect the Confederacy and American voters voted for him anyway. Racism should be disqualifying. Shameful that it’s not.
Reagan was racist and used racism to get elected. Carter was racist for the 1976 campaign.
The fact is that a significant amount of American voters don’t think that racism is disqualifying (because they’re likely racist) and that speaks volumes about the American electorate. (And it isn’t good).
I agree. She had 107 days to run a campaign. That’s not enough time for anyone to run a campaign. She was facing a Republican Party attempting to resurrect the Confederacy and an American electorate that chose hate. Those are really difficult to forces to overcome.
It’s an absurd gamble because the left isn’t going to be able to gain enough wwc voters to offset the loss of Black and Jewish voters.
The left refuses to acknowledge the fact that white voters are voting on white identity and aren’t motivated by economics. It will be difficult to win them back.
Except that Democrats can’t win elections without Black and Jewish voters. Really risky to cast those voters aside and rely on white working class voters who vote on white identity.
Remember this when Rogan attempts to distance himself from Trump’s heinous policies.
Rogan is complicit.
There is nothing that Kamala Harris could’ve said on Rogan’s show that would’ve swayed that racist or his racist audience. Wish that people would stop blaming her for a problem that’s plagued the country since its inception.
The Fox News addled Taney Court II no longer has any institutional legitimacy.
This from the party that welcomes Nazis in their bigoted tent . . .
The leader of their party literally dined with a Nazi.
Bodegas were too “ethnic” for racist Trump.
The reason Platner is still around is because too many white voters simply do not see Nazism as a dealbreaker. What party structure would address this?
And these same voters would absolutely choose Hannibal Lecter if their opponent was Black and or a woman.
