Congrats, Niko! Great paper.
Celebrating the ousting of Orban’s corrupt authoritarian regime in Hungary. Lots of work needed to tame the curse of rising nationalism, but this is a good day for both Hungary and the EU.

So weird: there's more than one scammy memorial site inviting donations or tree-planting in my dad's memory.
We are not asking for that, but if people feel moved, donations in lieu of flowers to www.aclu-mn.org, www.aclu.org, or www.eff.org
Econ folks, can you help get the word out?

Amazing…
We use a coordination game to study repeated emergence and abandonment of mutualistic interactions. The game reflects that mutualisms must be widespread to generate robust benefits. Mutualisms can collapse even in the absence of cheating and even if they would result in higher fitness. rdcu.be/eWnIc
John List has a disturbing LinkedIn post on the job market for economists. Between trump's attack on university/research and his destruction of the government infrastructure for managing and evaluating policy, big hit on economics hiring.

A super interesting study on how ants alter their nest networks to prevent epidemics! Network topology metrics were used to measure the effect on disease transmission.

After 13 years in the US, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave. Having packed up everything and rethought about priorities, rather painstakingly, while I’m sad to leave the life I’ve made here, I’m also relieved that I won’t have to plan my life around immigration policies anymore.
