Ok wait
does the Dewalt one count as a bullpup mod? Because,

This entire thread is a work of art and I could stare at it for hours
I need little contemplation benches to sit in front of each of these and just, absorb, them
bsky.app/profile/stup...
I did, however, end up using a couple of these on some REALLY harsh cuts
But nobody really noticed cus it was like 5 frames, lol, sometimes you can use them to noise up a cut or give it a tiny bit of inertia if you use em that way
MotorSlice will release May 5, 2026
Fight epic boss fights, parkour through a deadly megastructure, ang get the job done when the game is released in 2 weeks!
Ok but this is true though
Start with hard cuts, no blends no nothing, and work back from that only as far as necessary to acquire the texture you want
Cut not working? Start by getting better footage / rework the order or position of cut / etc, not fuckin Spin Cut 3
Nah nothing so fancy, humans are just wired to be protective of their young, but it's a mode of action that's counter productive to other things sometimes, so they put a copy protection on it
Please sniff the baby head on page 3 to continue playing the parenting game
this is why you don't attach a ribbon particle emitter to your weapon for attack trail VFX
Here's something I don't think I've tweeted on bluesky before: after we shipped Weird West, Wolfeye brought me back to make a first person mod for it, which is now accessible through the PC version of the game's mod menu. I did a video about it

Though anyone reading this now, ehhhh you want Jellyfin, PLEX is rad but I worry they'll fuck the apps up eventually cus financial motive
I fuckin love PLEX
Yes. Here's a random study. They'd need more rigorous processes to make it conclusion, but "highly suggestive" might be the best you can do when we're talking about something a ethically fraught as infants and brain chemistry. www.science.org/content/arti...
Though there are obvious ethical problems with this kind of research, since we're talking about what amounts to permanent behavioral changes and infants of all things, sooooo, rigorous science is tricky at best- even that article mentions that
Like here's a random study, but I was aware of this in the 10's, so presumably there are more better ones. www.science.org/content/arti...
I've no idea how much exposure is involved, or if it's age-related, or what, it's just a correlative thing. I mostly remembered it because it was a good explanation for that "I wanna smell the top of the baby's head" behavior I'd seen and found utterly alien.
I'm like 99% sure this is astroturfed in by the anti-woke crowd for, some? reason?
Like even the "ooh ooh it's anime coded! watch out for pedos!" thing would, yes, also apply to Yakuza.
Watching male friends go their little boy (cat) dying is so heart wrenching that I want to dropkick anyone who even fucking HINTS at thinking men are somehow unfeeling monsters
Get the fuck off the planet with that, into the sun with you
Yep, that. THAT.
I hit on the pheromone thing in my schooling (probably in a psych book?) and after that it was like, no I will not fucking handle your child holy shit no.
I like how my brain works fine. Also your child's diaper is loaded and I ain't going near that literal shit either.
Tho I will say those two experiences now exist in triple platinum in my brain on the wall that says in bright neon letters at the top WHY WE ARE NEVER HAVING KIDS subtitled "holy shit parents do this every day? what the fuck WHAT THE FUCK"
So yeah, don't like kids but, come ON. Stupid fucking take.
I once got roped into helping a single mom through security at a airport because I was kind to the mom (I think I offered her chocolate? she looked WIPED) and another time I paid for a dad's expensive uber cus he was a separated dad trying to deal with all that shit and
Yeah. Human. This is simple.
And fuck's sake even if you ARE cooler on kids (I dislike children), even I'm tearing up at that Pragmata footage of the kind man patiently explaining things.
Even I've done the "hey do we need to find your mommy?" thing cus we're all fucking human and these small things are very prone to injury.
Women if they give birth (generally) pair bond with the child. Men, if they've avoided children, might not until handling the infant.
And all of this would sound very case-closed except MOST PEOPLE JUST HANDLE BABIES. The passing-the-baby-cus-head-has-that-baby-smell thing? This is that.
Anyways <nose leaks a bit of blood> ok I HAVE to comment on that take,
what they're is referencing is that babies emit a pheremone from their heads that rewires adult brains a bit, and that shy of that, you may be cooler on kids.
But that isn't a guy thing, that's a "have you avoided kids" thing.
I don't think anyone's actually on twitter, it's that the discourse on this shit has gone viral to a degree I'm not sure I've ever seen and as curious as that makes it it's like nope, nope I'm good hell no naw naw naw running the other direction
Well you're talking with / friends with (? ๐ฅน๐๐) a trans, so I imagine that original lady would already decide you are one of those SCARY GENDER ABOLITIONIST people or whatever so really in for a penny in for a pound
I choose to believe the people discoursing about Pragmata are in fact external agitators who have never even seen a video game, because the alternative makes me wish to simply walk into the sea, ne'er to return
I intend to play it, enjoy it, probably cry a bit over it, and just Never Fucking Look At The Discourse because the image below that QRT has me questioning my sanity
Everything I can find says that the game is great, highly recommended! It's like if someone made an entire game out of that one good giraffe part of Last Of Us with Resident Evil gameplay and Vanquishishish vibes!
aaaand
you just need to treat the discourse around it like nuclear fucking waste
