I had the opportunity to confront Pete Hegseth's bigoted spiritual mentor, Pastor Doug Wilson, and call him out on his history of hate, his misreading of the Bible, his hijacking of Jesus, and his cosplay Crusading.

It was worth it.

The only way this could make sense is if there is a large cohort of extremely talented, experienced personnel who can't sign up due to this mandate.

Is there such a thing?

Otherwise, its just vitue signalling to the worst possible people that will put lives, health and security at risk.

Nigel Farage Has Personally Accepted £675,000 from Foreign Sources Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has accepted more than half a million pounds from foreign companies, governments, and donors while serving as an MP, DeSmog can reveal. Since July 2024, when he was elect...

“Farage rarely turns up to do his actual job. Yet he finds time to jet off around the world on his donor’s private plane and trouser half a million quid while families struggle. Reform are not on your side. They’re just in it for themselves”

It’s so obvious, it hurts.

I checked this too.

*20 seconds* of Reform logo display.

*No other* party logo displayed.

In local election purdah.

This is not normal. At all.

Amazon, which saved $4B in taxes under Trump's Big Ugly Bill, has cut 30,000 jobs since last October.

Verizon, which saved $2B, plans to cut 15,000 jobs this year.

Meta, which saved $3B, plans to lay off 20% or more of its workforce.

Trickle-down economics is a cruel joke.

This makes the scale of Rayner's alleged error - for which Reform hauled her over the coals - look like monopoly money

Tice said: "Naturally I am always happy to put things right and if numbers need rechecking, of course I will pay what is owed - be that more or less."

It's another big story from Gabriel Pogrund who also revealed last week that Tice's property company failed to pay £91,000 in tax before dividends.

And now he gets paid a load of money to write a weekly column for one of the papers calling for Starmer to resign over this.

When Angela Rayner underpaid £40,000 in stamp duty, Richard Tice said it was "morally completely indefensible” and she should resign if she had “any moral decency”.

Now we learn he set up four shell companies that let him avoid paying £100,000 he owed in tax and to then transfer the cash to Reform

Boris Johnson didn't pass vetting when Theresa May appointed him Foreign Secretary.

The media must have missed that one.

They do know that they're supposed to 'look into' people before making them candidates right?

Reform Scotland: Yeah! Independence for our great country.

Reform Wales: Abolish the Senedd, be ruled from Westminster, forget your 'foreign' language, get back down the mines and be grateful Welshies!

3 days ago 4 1 0 0

Wow! So in Scotland Reform believe in the Scots having independence from the rest of the UK.
But in Wales Reform are actively campaigning to abolish the Senedd and Welsh people's voices (and language) and be happy about it!
Oh yeah, and go back into the coal mines and frack our countyside.

Boris Johnson: PM tried to restrict ex-minister's access to intelligence Boris Johnson says it is

Worth remembering given the current concerns about Mandelson being appointed US Ambassador.

The Tories choose someone who has security concerns as the PM

Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back to a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

IT SAVES PUBLIC MONEY to house people.

Tice and his party happily/loudly campaign on how people like him deserve to pay less in their taxes.
This £98,000 'error' as well as the £600,000 he aggressively avoided paying..that's a lot of money due for the public purse from an MP.

Wealthy patriots wanting a better UK would proudly pay in.

Also, Reform really shouldn't be making a fuss over vetting procedures. Theirs have failed again and again in realising their candidates unsuitability for positions of power.
Glasshouses and all that.

It does seem like the more left the party/politician the higher the standards expected from them.
Whereas the further right, the more they get away with, as if they admit that they're the bad guys so what do you expect?
Raynor had to resign over a tax error.....will Tice?
Different standards.

Richard Stupid Tice makes a good point - the government should learn from Reform UK and use the same vetting system as we do. We have an exemplary record of only passing a few hundred racists, sex pests and violent criminals.

What should have happened: the REIT paid no tax but the Tice companies holding shares in the REIT paid £98k tax on the dividends they received.

What actually happened: none of the companies paid any tax.

Our new report: Richard Tice signed accounts wrongly claiming £98,000 of tax exemptions

A 🧵 with the evidence:

Tice called for Rayner to quit as a matter of integrity when she was found to have made an error over a complex financial issue.
Will Tice have integrity over his tax 'error' described here, by an expert as 'a really basic mistake'
It almost looks like he's trying to avoid paying his taxes (again).

TL;DR

The Tisun companies failed to pay tax on £514k of dividends.

Richard Tice's claim this was because of losses is contradicted by

- the accounts, which show a (wrong) use of dividend exemption - the fact there **were no material losses**

Cosy fluff-piece on Farage in today’s Times, I note. Don’t hold out much hope they’ll have mentioned the number of Reform candidates with previous for extreme racist views or wanting to decimate the NHS. *sighs*

On any given day, you might as well roll a die to predict whether Donald Trump is going to claim total victory; imminent victory; a negotiated ceasefire; an imminent ceasefire; new attacks; crucial negotiations or imminent crucial negotiations. The only certainty is that he’ll be lying.
