That’s something we’ve lost. Buying an album in town, getting home and dropping the needle on your own setup usually on a Saturday afternoon about 5pm. A musical, melancholic, witty album and I’ve added a touch of nostalgia.

Grammar test. It’s Immaterial - Life’s Hard And Then You Die (1986) The best album you’ve never heard, a forgotten gem that deserved so much more. I think I bought it because it was ‘Now Playing’ in the record shop.

Technology: The Comprehension Gap - Steve Coulter Creative From Meta’s metaverse losses to AI search confusion, this essay explores why modern internet technologies fail when people can’t easily understand them.

Hearing more about people who have Crypto gains but are locked out of their digital wallets - which are also awkward to initially set up.

New tech won’t achieve mass adoption if people don’t understand how, or why to use it.

You want bleak but with a tune? The Cure - Pornography (1982) Given the state Robert and band were in - what an album. I think I wrote a review for this on the website. Movement, no movement just a falling bird. Cold as it hits the bleeding ground. A sort term effect.

File under fire. R.E.M. - Document (1987) sharpening stones, walking on coals to improve your business acumen. The fifth album on IRS. I’d say their mass adoption breakthrough album in the U.K. off the back of the singles. Peak Michael Stipe intellectual & political lyrics.
