The Resolution dream team in Parliament today, banging the drum for cohabitation reform at a breakfast round-table. Fingers crossed for time being allocated in the next session of parliament; we are pushing at an open door🤞🏻 #cohabitationreform

No £ for anything that will cost; but govt STILL committed to cohab reform & hoping for next session of Parliament 2025/26. It’s things like making the case for better legal aid rates & funding for legal advice which are tricky at the mo; but we made some costs neutral suggestions for improvement

Met new MoJ ministers last week to discuss Resolution asks on cohabitation reform, funding for early legal advice & legal aid. Clear message was, there’s no money. But good to focus conversation on better use of existing resource, helping most vulnerable & LT vision for better family justice system
