Too many great debuts during that period. Depending on the day…

Fantastic. Great image. So cool.
Always glad to be of help!
Storyville is great.
Great 2 sides of vinyl. 2 of my favourite songs by The Jam.

Recently watched this. May be of interest to you. On BBC iPlayer under Storyville episodes.

Elvis Presley In Concert.
Beautiful
Speaking of Vegas, I recently watched EPiC on iMax. But that was a completely different level of talent.
Loved it.
Me too.
Would love to have seen Killing Joke then.
There must have been near 10,000 there. To see Billy Idol in 2023. In Glasgow.
Utterly baffling.
I do have a soft spot for a few old Gen X songs. But this was much more polished. Rock music for people who watch American Wrestling.
Not my thing at all.
Saw Idol 2023. KJ supported. Their last ever 🏴 gig. They were great but wrong audience. Idol did a showbiz version of punk. It included a 10 minute acoustic guitar solo by his guitarist. Went to bar/toilet. Never felt so utterly detached from audience/ stage. And where did all these fans come from?
Great description. I found the Huw Edward’s film utterly depressing in every way imaginable. Felt grimy watching it and after. Full of the most awful people. But thought Martin Clunes was excellent.
haven’t seen it. Saw him at Glasgow Ovo 3 years ago. (Reason I went was to see Killing Joke were supporting: glad I did, was their last ever gig in Scotland).
KJ were great but wrong crowd.
Idol played a Vegas version of rock.
I left for the toilet during an extended classical guitar solo.
I’m so sorry to hear that. Glad your story had a happy ending. Alas they’re on the rise here in the UK again, encouraged by right-wing press and media.
Errr…no.
Glasgow please!
Man is an utter berk. I’ve seen him interviewed and it’s like watching David Brent in The Office.
A man in the glassiest of glass houses when it comes to inappropriate behaviour.
#5DebutAlbums1519
Someone’s already posted the mighty black midi.
There’s also this.
The sort of pop rock that’s rarely made nowadays.
Great songs, melodies and videos
Has to be!
Top album. Was my route into DIY indie.
EIG and Ben Watt are the only tracks I skip when playing the fab Pillows & Prayers compilation.
“Top flight football”
It’s the SPL
Both teams played on the same surface
And 😂😂😂😂…ad infinitum
Ps
To quote Wittgenstein
Mogwai are shite.
It really isn’t. It’s a huge security guard bullying a child.
But carry on.
She’s an arsehole.
