Agreed, they all are politicians and lie.
Starmer appointed somebody who didn’t pass security vetting as an ambassador to the US (not Liechtenstein or Monaco or San Marino, but the United States of America). The buck needs to stop somewhere.

A Prime Minister appointing the ambassador to a leading ally and superpower, either not asking whether the candidate has passed the security vetting or appointing him nevermind he didn’t pass, is a minor issue?
