In the 1966 movie El Dorado, James Caan's character said "a horse will not step on a man." Maybe that's true.

It must really bother Trump to know that Pope Leo isn't even motivated by popularity polls.
They would love to have a reason to get together on twitter and whine about how persecuted they are because of their faith.
I used to do that more often before everyone could take out their phone and google it.
Two weeks ago:
“The U.S. military has more than enough munitions, ammo, and weapons stockpiles to achieve the goals of Operation Epic Fury laid out by President Trump — and beyond,” Leavitt said.
Maybe the real problem is that Trump got rid of anyone who would tell him what he needs to hear and replaced them with people who will tell him what he wants to hear. This was always a bad idea, but the administration ended up surprised that Iran is fighting back.
The media didn't get to play their god-appointed role in convincing us it was necessary.
They're also favored as CEOs, because stock prices do better when the person in charge doesn't have a pesky conscience bothering them when their decisions endanger people's lives or steal everything they worked for.
This isn't even a new tactic. I remember Republicans claiming for 12 years that everything was Carter's fault, and then they took credit for the drop in unemployment when Clinton was in office.
She was the third person in that exchange to refer to "the goyim"
It started as a comment from Ana opposing the US starting a war with Iran.
I read the “SAVE Act” (the GOP’s new voter suppression bill) so you don’t have to. This is my one page summary. Jesus it’s bad. 1/
Poured into the stock market and managed by private firms. It's the most patriotic thing you can do for the value of Bessent's stock.
Because everyone knows that the fastest way to get fired by him is to tell him the truth.
When this video got blocked here, I went to twitter and found video from multiple angles.
Anxiety is SO common in autistics: A useful new study "quotes extensively from autistic people about their experiences of anxiety, and I know that many, many autistic people will see themselves in the material." @ejwillingham.bsky.social in the latest TPGA Newsletter:

Last year I gave The Bright Ages as a Christmas gift and it was well-received, so this year I bought Oathbreakers for the same person.
I'm no fan of NYT, but there's nothing wrong with reading multiple sources and then thinking for yourself.
Unless all your sources are "the news for the left" or "the news for the right," because at that point you're asking to be misled or lied to.
I don't doubt that no deal was made. Trump thinks of political parties like rival sports teams. He probably thinks Democrats cheer for corrupt members of their team, and he thinks pardoning one might make the left stop talking about Jeffrey Epstein.
A lot of people care, but don't have the option to watch C-Span and news all day every day, because they have two jobs and kids/parents to take care of.
Not if you know the signs that a boat may be carrying something illegal as opposed to shooting from the air anything with an outboard motor. And it isn't just drugs. As some have noted, a in small boat with 11 people, most of the people probably are the cargo.
Making it clear that if you follow orders given by Hegseth, this administration is not going to have your back.
He's sending a clear message that if you follow his orders, he won't have your back.
This is an interesting study but historians came to this same conclusion a decade or more ago.
Trump's nephew has already told us that Trump thinks disabled people are a waste of money and should be allowed to die.
It's hard to feel pity for them. It sounds like they were aware that they were likely doing things that were illegal, but they were okay with it as long as all the consequences of their actions were suffered by other people.
Sorry, I was replying to the part about a process to remove them. I misunderstood.

The only way to remove them is to destroy the whole thing. In AI, once something is introduced, taking it out is kind of like mixing too much milk into a recipe and then trying to take it out.
I'm glad other people talk about things like this. After seeing multiple posts about people who say it's like a super power while I just have a pit of anxiety in my stomach for days, sometimes I feel like I can't do anything right.
