I've never been shy about bouncing from a book I'm not enjoying. I find it very strange that there are people for who it is a point of pride that they always finish a book. I wouldn't stick with a TV Show or computer game I wasn't enjoying, why ruin my reading time too.

To be fair, the right are usually the ones violently propping up these regimes, so yeah, my fight's with them too.
"Kill them along the way, but count your bullets, for there are more worthy targets"
If you're an employer or work for an employer and you're about to write a job advert in first person, stop.
It's easily the biggest pet peeve I have for job adverts. It's unnecessarily unclear, patronising and dumb.
Don't tell me what some fictional employee thinks - tell me what the job is.
I've read so many better books and played so many better games since I started ignoring lists and recommendations made by other straight white men tbh.
Just finished "The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet" - I was very sceptical about a book that's a little outside my usual sci-fi pick, but it was a nice comforting found family adventure between more action-dense books. Recommended if you want a cosy low intensity read with lots of feels.
In fairness the vast majority of people on benefits in the UK are also employed, so the "unemployed" statistic isn't indicative of benefit takeup.
Are you really doing an admin job if you don't spend 20 minutes making your spreadsheet do fancy colours?
Oof.
Generalising them and ostracising them from wider society is one of the most effective weapons against the far right. Those who are likely to leave often do so because of being lumped in with those who aren't.
Like I said, some cool stuff, but most of the issues I have with it can be fully summed up by all classes now getting subclasses at level 3. Makes them all far too similar tbh.
A lot of the "improvements" in 5.5e seem fully designed to remove interesting deviations tbh. There's some stuff I like - pegging skills to backgrounds is a cool change, but most of it just seems like it's creating extra work for the DM or making things less interesting by streamlining too much.
After many recommendations I've been reading The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet and it's unlike any sci-fi I've ever read before. So far (and no spoilers, obviously) It's a fairly cosy slice-of-life affair which is a nice break from the cyberpunk books I have been reading.
I mean the alternative is her having "original thoughts" and we know she can't do that.
Absolutely nothing stopping them from immediately upping UC payments/child benefit payments to be more in line with inflation - and absolutely nothing stopping them clawing the money for it by closing tax loopholes.
They won't tho, cuz they're just as corrupt as the Tories.
There's this cool invention we have for when the state starts forcing people into servitude for peanut wages to benefit their capitalist friends.
Given that he's now an actual government official in the US, does this not count as state interference?
and also, judging from twitter, a solid 50% of their original fanbase.
Gobble gobble gobble, mmmm tasty thoughtless propaganda.
That's you. That's what you sound like.
If you're going purely off of DNA then male and female isn't even relevant, there are so many possible combinations. That's why intersex people exist.
Blah blah blah.
Tell me; is it freeing to have zero original thoughts? Is it nice? To just have everything you think told you in easy bitesize arguments like "men in dresses" that you can just repeat without question? It seems lonely if the number of divorced men parroting it is anything to go by.
The majority don't actually give any thought or shit about what other people wear. Real men used to mind their own business.
For clarity though "diversity" doesn't just mean "trans people and black people" it also includes women, y'know, that other half the population that often gets overlooked.
Hey, numbnuts, 'diversity' *IS* the majority.
Probably more when he kicks off his dumb trade war with the EU.
Thinking 'bout Nemik's Manifesto for no real reason:
The [fascist] need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear.
A lot of LA middle class "it isn't my problem" America are about to realise that it is actually their problem, they just weren't affected before.
Matter of days till his crypto/investments/abuse coverups all come home to roost. He can't hide under the Jake/Logan Paul skirt forever.
I don't think he realises that probably means his bessie mate Tommy.
Same, haha.
Honestly a great resource, and if you go via youtube etc you're helping promote/fund/enable a valuable resource for trans people too.
Win/win really.
Yeah, but "go woke, increase the customer base and remove boundaries to entry into the hobby from demographics that you previously didn't represent that well" doesn't rhyme, so who's the real loser here?
This is such a good joke.
