27. Gallup, 1965: "WOULD YOU, YOURSELF, LIKE TO GO TO THE MOON?"

A pathetic, shameless decision. Is it really in the interests of Haringey Council to let this man have a platform to 10,000s of people within its park?
Me, the first time I powered up Claude among younger colleagues:
Felt like a lifetime anyway!
We explain political change using totally different causal models if we approve of outcome of not:
1. Change we like is organic, bottom-up genuine expression of public demand
2. Change we dislike is artificial, top-down result of manipulative elite
I’m calling this Motivated Causal Attribution
New Adam Curtis trailer just dropped
London’s “worst mass eviction in recent history” is underway; hundreds of households across London told to get out of their homes this week by the same landlord, ahead of the renters rights act. The landlord? Billionaire Asif Aziz’s Criterion Capital. www.londoncentric.media/p/asif-aziz-...
That is very saddening
We put them down as 14% in the summer
You are right to point that out - the spread is really important to understanding political positioning - and who the prominent, vocal advocates are and represent

Sad to read this terrible news
"Your guilty conscience may force you to vote Democratic, but deep down inside, you secretly long for a cold-hearted Republican to lower taxes, brutalize criminals, and rule you like a king!"
Fantastic write-up from James unpacking the shifting voting patterns of archetypal American voter blocs
This week I crossed a big milestone. I turned 1 billion seconds old.
To help put into context the difference between a million and a billion, I turned one million seconds old at the tender age of 12 days old in May 1994. I am now nearly 32!
A fate worse than death
Memories of festival walk: eating McDonald's while watching people use the enormous ice rink, the valentine's day queues outside pandora, the bougie global supermarket, the actual entrance to our university. What a place
Made me laugh on an otherwise sombre, extremely delayed GWR train 😂 I remember the enormous bookshop on one end
Why limit that cynicism to just journalists in this dynamic, sadly. But yes completely agree
You are assuming that they would always object to misleading reporting of findings!

Thanks. The issue is as true in desktop, it is now very difficult to navigate a meaningful amount of listings or see the important, comparable data across listings
@discogsofficial.bsky.social *please* can you provide the option to revert back to the 'classic' marketplace user interface. The new version is very difficult and cumbersome to use, and replaces useful information for with large artwork thumbnails. Totally unusable in its updated format. Thanks
Don't know how anyone copes without one of these bad boys
“We were shocked by them. They were bio-robots. They tried to kill themselves by biting their own veins”

I think you speak for a lot of Britalians with that sentiment..!
London Centric is such an impressive outfit, real investigative journalism about issues that impact and matter to its audience. Other much larger organisations could learn a thing or two, and it is more than worth subscribing to. This is a brilliant story, and action vs these crooks is long overdue.
It is revealing to look at the data from this release and focus on these findings as a -ve, as opposed to:
- The stillbirth rate in the most deprived neighbourhoods being 92% higher than the least
- The stillbirth rate among Black African mothers being 84% higher than among White British mothers
It is now the old one but made to look like the icon of an app
2015 rebrand of the University of Warwick logo - a large triangular W
As my old university, Warwick, rebrands once again and updates its logo - can we all please pay homage to how DREADFUL the 2015 rebrand was. What on earth was this for the past decade?
Now do Soho!
