Now when I'm writing I purposefully avoid em dashes in case someone mistakenly thinks I've used AI.
So I'd been working on a pitch deck for our studio's next project (🤞🤞🤞). Can't share it yet but I'm super proud of it, not least because initial feedback from our closest publisher was that it is "definitely one of the most professional" they've seen over the years. Yes mate 💪
Just wish they used this same energy when discussing bugs...
The cutest thing about the studio I work in is that I'm the only non-Hungarian and they translate all announcements into English just for me.
2025 will be 50% about pitching the next project for the studio and I'm genuinely having PTSD flashbacks to last year...
Anyone else heading into the Christmas break from work by planning the extracurricular work they can make progress on? Just my broken brain?
I've been trying out the gamedev.tv stuff specifically for learning Godot and I think it's been helpful and well produced
I love the bounce in that walking animation 🥺
Name 3 things (or more) you desperately want to learn/do but haven't had the chance to yet
1️⃣ Make and release my own fully solo-developed game
2️⃣ Write a children's book (series?)
3️⃣ Have classes in baking (specifically breads and pastries), have a sourdough starter to love and care for
I'd play that game at least
But next year y'all will see it all!
2024 has been the first year in my working career where I haven't been able to show off anything I've done. In a way it's liberating, but in another did I even work this year?
I'm trying to make a go of this Bluesky lark. I see it's a better alternative, I just don't have the energy to rebuild I guess.
Being a narrative designer means having people coming to you with the question "I need a word for XXXX" and then forgetting every single word that ever existed.
Best thing Unity could do is for it's installer to tell me "Please don't End Task, honestly I'm working on something"

I knew a guy who dead-eye-stare-wide-mouth-smiled and legitimately had to shower after every interaction with him.
Surely that would only guarantee that you're a publisher? 😉
A Black man standing against the London skyline.
Feel free to reskeet!
I’m in the market for my next game narrative role!
You’d get:
✅ Award-winning writing and narrative design
✅ Worldbuilding
✅ Character development
I’d get:
✅ Money
✅ A collaborative team of weirdos enthusiastic about narrative
✅ A challenging, player-centric project
Oof this one stings
What are the parameters to be an official gamedev?
Today's biggest success is the phrase "biggest, baddest, balls-out-est"
Chastised my project manager today, and I quote:
"You could aim for the moon and land in the stars, but you aim for the dirt and land in the dirt. Congrats. Mission accomplished."
I'm a joy to work with honestly 🤣

Tomorrow I'll be part of a local conference (Budapest) with international attendees as part of a panel discussion AND a workshop, in case you were wondering why I'm not sleeping this week.
Well I work with him on 'real' stuff and there's some crossover with our collaboration here, but it's refreshing to have no 'business' pressure and it's nice let him lead the ideation a bit more.
Had a concept artist at work get in touch with me about helping him to build out the world that he's trying to create and I've not had this much fun for a long time. No project, no pressure, just making stuff up in collaboration
It's that time of year again where I search how to properly cook chestnuts
