I have just submitted my application to be a docent! -A Swedish 'title' that allows you to be main PhD supervisor and take more active roles in PhD defences. Crossing fingers for the next months 🤞And thanks everyone who has been part of my growth as teacher & researcher
I accidentally said no to a ResearchGate full-text request from yesterday. Sorry to whomever asked me for the paper. In the weird case you're seeing this, the paper (from last year) is open access so you can find it in the official repo :) dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/...
What if we put librarians to run universities? Or just the world?
Please help with reposting this? :)
Deadline extended to March 9, AoE!
Don't forget there's still time to submit to our workshop on Resisting AI solutionism! It will happen on April 27, and we (co-organisers) take hybrid participation *very* seriously, you don't need to go to Japan to be part of this conversation :)
Let’s question the inevitability of ‘AI’ and Iet’s discuss resistance and other anti-solutionist, active stances!
some little bluesky tips 🦋
your blocks, likes, lists, and just about everything except chats are PUBLIC
you can pin custom feeds; i like quiet posters, best of follows, mutuals, mentions
if your chronological feed is overwhelming, you can make and pin make a personal list of "unmissable" people
escuchando Rosalía al taco mientras escribo los nombres de autores en la versión final 💃

Going to TEI in March? Some people here might want to join the #TEI2025 studio "Designing for and with Intimate (Sexual) Bodies Towards Feminist and Queer Somatic Understandings of Pleasure" - Bordeaux, France, Tuesday March 4th. Apply through intimatebodies.carrd.co
Today was a special day at our Interaction Design team in MID, KTH, with the news of 15 papers conditionally accepted to #chi2025, and some that didn't make it to round 2 or to acceptance but that were hard work and lots of learning!
Our paper "Doing the Feminist Work in AI: Reflections from an AI Project in Latin America" was conditionally accepted to #chi2025 in Japan. With Ivana, Carolina, Yasmín and Mailén from DataGénero NGO, Julián, Raul from CollectiveAI co-op, and Luciano and Santiago. Sooo happy! 🤩
I finished listening to “Pollution is colonialism” by Max Liboiron. What a great book!

Random recommendation for bookish people trying to avoid Amazon products - you might want to try TheStoryGraph for a different way of finding and tracking your readings (and, you can import your Goodreads data!)
Getting an audiobook subscription is probably one of the best decisions I made lately! ✨ Currently enjoying Haraway's Staying with the trouble - Recently re-read Broussard's Artificial Unintelligence, and managed to finish Don Quijote after (too) many years
