That was going to be my response before I decided to just flag it out to people more in tune with those issues 🤣
Repost for visibility, particularly for @xirclebox.com
I know Ubuntu is Debian based. It'll probably be what I land on if no one brings up some new hotness that has just slipped by me.
I think I'm going to put #Linux on an old laptop that's struggling on Win10, due to a lack of TPM2 module. Old me would use Debian. More recent me would use Ubuntu. However, I know a lot of really good distros have come out lately. So, mostly dev, what distros should I look at?
Remember when we actually had a software craftsman movement? Yeah, good times, good times...
I don't remember where I heard it, but this quote has been living rent free in my head ever since:
Don't change the part of you that's cringe, change the part of you that cringes.
That video is pretty close to the conversation I'm about to have with the dev team about the difference between "environment" and "configuration"
Y'all ever cue up a new album in a playlist while thinking "I don't know why I'm grabbing this one. I know I'm not going to like it." Then, hours later, it finally comes on and you don't like it and you curse past you that should have known better?
No, just me? Cool, cool cool cool cool...
I mentioned in a meeting recently that I was going to use pride versioning and, after explaining it to everyone, I had a hard time getting people back on track...
I think that's a wonderful idea. Just remember that the goal is to keep it at or as close to 0 as possible.
I've been keeping an eye out for a small, cheap "living room" computer that's somewhere between a Chromebook/tablet but not a full fledged "useful" PC. Basically, something I can do what I'd normally do on my phone, but easier to use. I need to do a little research, but the Neo may fit that.
Just a couple of days left to submit your session for Scenic City Summit 2026!

I have 1. You. You are my list...
How can there be an Ender Dragon if there is no Beginder Dragon?
Should I take tomorrow off work so I can play Resident Evil Requiem all day?
* Yes
* Yes, but as a different option
I'll raise a glass in spirit to you this weekend.
Pro tip: do not accidentally deep fry part of your hand. It really hurts...
(Yes, I will be fine...)
Fun fact: it works in LOTS of apps...
Finally made it out to #HattieBs to try the Shut the Cluck Up sandwich. I can see why a normal person would have problems with it. Of course, I had no problem.
For what it's worth, the YouTube app works that way on my Roku...
Man, for your sake, I hope you don't break my record for no power. At least mine was in late April.
Thinking of ya. Start safe and warm.
Camtasia should give you a similar option. I think you need to use the "Camtasia Rev" stuff and change either the size or layout to Vertical. Rest should snap into place after that.
What are you using for screen capture?
My plans are to use a scene in OBS, formatted to a view that's 9:16, and just set the camera capture and video capture into the scene.
Look at that hospitality. They mustered up a few degrees to have available for out of town guests...
I'm actively in route. That could be anywhere from actively heading towards my car to done driving and walking in the door
I have a feeling you under estimate how hot I take my wings
So, you're saying you don't want to get wings with me ...
