Grateful to my State Senator Liz Miranda who is advocating for action & protecting working families & long-time homeowners.
We can’t lose focus of the real impact these increases will have on residents & families. Who will support these businesses if folks continue to leave an unaffordable Boston?

Complex highway interchange from the air
Never forget, car dependency isn’t freedom.
Some might ask “what’s more free than cars?”
Choices.
Choices are more free than car dependency.
It’s not a hard concept.
I’m not pitting cars against any other single mode of transport.
I’m rejecting design that creates dependency on just one mode.
The decision by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to downgrade its recommendations to protect infants from hepatitis B is a dangerous move that will harm children.

Horrifying. Predatory AI technology is already harming young people by putting their safety and well-being at risk.
Invest in teachers. Invest in humans. Stop with the cheap, unregulated tech.
Clearing encampments and throwing people in jail does NOTHING to actually get Americans off the streets.
Homelessness is not a personal failure, it’s a policy failure. Congress must pass my Housing Not Handcuffs Act with @frost.house.gov.

Burning through millions like it’s nothing to them. Oh, wait…
My Democratic colleagues and I just left the state of Texas to break quorum and stop Trump’s redistricting power grab.
Trump is trying to rig the midterm elections right before our eyes. But first he’ll have to come through us.
It’s time to fight back.
Love the opportunity to learn from Bostonians on how we can improve the digital experience for all!

New favorite rainy day activity unlocked: Journaling and enjoying a sandwich and iced coffee sitting by the window of a local shop in the neighborhood 🤗
This post was the sign for me to delete my Amazon account 🥳
I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
I like REALLY wish super PACs weren’t a thing, smh.
Shoutout @act-on-mass.bsky.social and everyone who advocated for more transparency from our state government. We deserve to know how our elected officials vote in committee. We, the people who put these officials in their seats, must continue to hold them accountable. Now, let’s pass some bills.
May Juneteenth be a reminder of those who carried the flame of justice before us, and a celebration of the Black joy, freedom and community that has been built and nurtured through a revolutionary legacy.

We must speak out against a federal administration who is putting the health and well-being of Americans at risk in order to further their conspiracy-filled agenda.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Health secretary removes every member of scientific committee that advises the CDC on how vaccines should be used.
Billionaires are trying to buy this campaign for nepo baby Kraft from their shop outside of Boston.
If these billionaires truly wanted to serve their communities instead of their personal interests, I’m sure plenty of local orgs could use that $2M to help families and residents across Boston.
The only way to solve Boston’s traffic is to get cars off the road.
Encouraging mode shift by getting some people out of their cars and onto public transit or walk/bike as able is the best way to do that.
Anything else is just hollow political rhetoric.

Booooo, tomato tomato.
Is it too much to ask for an IRS Commissioner who understands the law?
Excerpt from an article about ranked choice voting that reads, “Alongside refiling the ranked-choice voting bill, Rausch has filed a more comprehensive piece of legislation this session that would reduce the need for legislative review of local home rule petitions including but not limited to enabling ranked-choice voting. “There is very good policy behind the concept of wanting state legislative review for local work that has statewide impact,” Rausch said. “We should keep it for those types of home rule petitions. But those types of home rules are very few and far between.””
Also awesome to learn about the great work @beccarausch.bsky.social is doing to give towns/cities more autonomy to implement legislation that impacts their local communities 👏🏻
Excerpt from an article about ranked choice voting that reads, “Critics decry ranked-choice voting as too complicated for people to understand, arguing that it undermines the intuitive principle that a person would like to vote for a single favored candidate. If a voter only feels strongly about one candidate, but that candidate gets the fewest number of first choice votes, opponents say the voter’s choice is essentially thrown away after the first round of counts.”
Stoked to see ranked choice voting in Boston move forward! We can’t let false beliefs in the ability of voters stop us from implementing more representative ways of voting.
Believe in Boston voters. We are resilient, and can learn and adapt!
