A Yugami-kun volume cover that can't be beat

More often than not if it's bad enough to make me not want to continue, I definitely have the same reaction since I'm pretty patient and it takes some big issues if I want to drop it so early
I'm still thinking about that sigh of relief I had when you commented about not liking the first episode, because all I could think of was finding a way to bring up my criticisms of it without being overly negative of something you were excited to share. Then we watched the next 2 eps and it clicked
I'm not someone who particularly subscribes to the three episode rule, but Maebashi Witches should be the go to example for anyone who strongly argues for it.
This has a very different depiction of De Niro than the others films I've seen him in, and this manic and charismatic performance definitely showcases his range perfectly.
It's also just fun knowing that this is the good version of what Joker (2019) attempted to do
🎬The King of Comedy
White and Orange should have made out, but Tarantino is too much of a coward for this.

Artwork of Sheena from Tales of Symphonia, along with Corrine, her summon spirit companion. The background has a floral peach tone, and Sheena is holding talismans while crossing her arms in front of her. Corrine is floating nearby. The ribbons of Sheena's sash flow around the artwork.

og animal crossing has such an honest, human feeling to it; the script has this consistent 'transitory', almost homesick tone that's conveyed throughout the events and dialogue; that roughness being slowly chipped away as you're working to improve you and your new animal neighbor's lives is so sweet
Love Bullet showing and love compassion for pigeons alone already makes it a wonderful series
A tree sparrow is speaking: "Artistic creation shouldn't be considered carelessly! Good art is made deliberately! With emotion! Physical exertion! If you aren't crying or bleeding by the end, you'd better look into another lifestyle...". We see a class of birds with piles of sticks and a big banner that reads "Intro to nest building" made out of twigs. The teacher continues: "Ok! Does everyone have their bundle of soft moss?"

It's super important to have films that have this outlook on life, I just wish they were able to toe the line better in handling heavier topics where that type of reality isn't always possible when dealing with specific types of trauma.
This film being so beautiful, bright, and optimistic about always striving to find the best ending possible is simultaneously what makes it endearing, and part of of what I take issue with. Namely that the messaging can clash quite hard with some bleak and heavy realities (Iroha's mom) of the story
🎬Cosmic Princess Kaguya
Two male characters in Cipher had so much romantic chemistry with each other that the manga author introduced a female character in this sequel/spin off who looked exactly like one of them to make it into a straight pair instead. Minako Narita was a coward for this
📖ALEXANDRITE
How beautifully shot the last fight scene was done definitely makes me understand why people call this film a classic. I would never say that I loved this film, but I had a good time with it.
🎬Raging Bull
Malcom from Malcom in the Middle feeling like he's different from everyone else in the advanced/gifted program in his school has another layer to it thanks to the sequel since you find out he was the only straight person in that class.
Just posted a quote response to it but the very simple answer is that I liked it despite its big flaws!
