[object Object] @zzt@mas.to the term “slop” has been so successful as a way of dismissing AI content with the appropriate level of care (none, as nobody who cared made the slop) that I’m starting to see AI boosters try to change the meaning of the word. it’s important to push back when you see these information colonizers: - insist that genuine human effort is slop because it isn’t to their taste (ie the new Mario movie) - claim that their AI output isn’t slop because they “checked” it and found it to be particularly good all AI content and output is definitionally and functionally slop. it is slurry made from human effort of many forms appropriated either without consent or via horrific exploitation. do not let these grifters fool you into thinking the crap they’re selling is anything but slop.

I think it's gotten better, or at least I've moved into better communities, but it's definitely not ideal.

I remember I once got dog piled and banned from a discord server made for the tumblr community I was a part of because I, as a 'cis man', was engaging with genderfuckery with my OCs to explore my identity through fiction in a way they didn't approve of.

the to go fee is pretty dumb, yeah. But the service charge is just so that any server is willing to take your to go order. Most people don't tip on to go orders, and servers make their money purely on tips, so they have no reason to take your to go order otherwise.
