Vix in Japan has been doing a video series on Hudson Soft, the game maker which partnered with NEC to create the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16. The latest entry covers the early 90s, the wind down of PCE & NES, and SNES games. The video is well produced and informative!

Also, having figures in a bespoke production run packaged in glued-on blister cards that need to be cut should be stopped. It's just not good as a collector who also wants to display figures out of package.

The Haslab Tron set looks good but is just too pricy. Maybe if these were 6" scale figures or an even more limited production run it could be justified.

Occasionally I'll come across a channel in YouTube and wonder how it doesn't have at least 100k subscribers. I was searching for reviews of the old sci-fi film and came across Bakey Reviews Movies. The reviews very informative yet have a goofy charm. Recommended!

I searched for "roblox" to look for posts about moderation issues and in the first 10 results is adult content from an account with almost all of its posts marked as adult / sensitive content. I know millions have fun on the service but it's a never ending minefield of potential harm to children

I watched and caught up with Murderbot on Apple TV+ the past few days and realized the true reason I want a 4th Star Trek Kelvin Timeline movie is to see John Cho as Captain Sulu. Who's with me?

I saw Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye tonight. It was a lot of fun and continues with mixing wild action, caring characters, and yokai origins filled with profound sorrow. Also, I enjoyed the interview with the co-directors at the end. Can't wait for the full season 2 to air!

I was at an antique store this week and saw a Jyn Erso toy sticking out among some other Star Wars toys. I rewatched Rogue One recently after finishing Andor Season 2 and the move hits different now, but I'm still getting teary eyed at the end.

I saw that Peter David passed away. As a teenager & in college, I found myself gravitating to certain comic books without realizing he was the common thread among them. Seeing "Peter David" as the author of a novel or comic was a sure indicator I'd enjoy the story inside. Rest in Peace Peter David.

I picked up the 2001: A Space Odyssey at the WA State Toy Show yesterday. I had it as a kid and the Robert McCall artwork reminds me of the wonder I had back then. This is a later release without the gatefold but I'm not sure which pressing.
