Goddamn. Game noise only feed of Samuelsson's goal last night. The crowd pops louder than most arenas even before he shoots. They knew he was scoring.

I think the best way to put the only-women-are-being-fired thing in context is that there is a high-ranking Bureau Director that has been getting black-out drunk on the job to the point where they used a SWAt battering ram to get into his locked office to wake him up & he still has a job.

Buffalo Sabres fans, the first 50 minutes were my fault. I was drinking beer. When I switched to whiskey things turned around. I will not make this mistake again.

Millennials are out this evening so I thought I’d treat myself to a fast food burger. Realized that the cost with delivery fee, tax, and tip was over 30 bucks. Reminded myself I have everything required in my fridge and freezer. Saved the unnecessary expense and got to eat it when it was still hot.

In 7 years of coaching various kids sports, this is the only person I really got upset at, and it was just once. Her take here is not wrong about overloading 4th graders rs on youth sports.

Screenshotted excerpt from linked article reading as follows:

"In public, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has cultivated a reputation for care and caution. The papers reveal a different side of him. At a critical moment for the country and the court, the papers show, he acted as a bulldozer in pushing to stop Mr. Obama’s plan to address the global climate crisis.

When colleagues warned the chief justice that he was proposing an unprecedented move, he was dismissive. “I recognize that the posture of this stay request is not typical,” he wrote. But he argued that the Obama plan, which aimed to regulate coal-fired plants, was “the most expensive regulation ever imposed on the power sector,” and too big, costly and consequential for the court not to act immediately."

You Can Never Let Them Think They Have A Chance | Defector I don’t remember the first time someone hit on me as a reporter. I believe this is because my brain has come to treat these events as unremarkable. For any woman in journalism, they pile up over the y...

I wrote about Dianna Russini, the constant pressure female reporters face to prove they aren't sleeping with sources (plus the pressure we do get from sources to get involved with them), and why all of this is so uncomfortable to talk about.

I'm okay with progressive tax schemes that result in rich people paying 18x over poor people, regardless of how many services they consume. But that's not WHY the yellow house has 18x tax.

There seem to be a lot of people in the US military right now that could benefit from watching this 20 second clip from "A Few Good Men." It's all you need to know about why carrying out a "double tap" strike on civilians is WRONG.
