I literally thought it was an April Fool's Day thing when I saw they launched yesterday. Could not care less to be honest. Space exploration is cool and all, but the world is on fire and I don't have the luxury to have second hand pride for these things anymore.

I know St. Patty's Day is a right raucous party for many here, but I always become sullen and reflective this time every year. There's just a comforting sadness to many Irish folk songs that remind me of my upbringing and of the family I've naturally lost over the years. I'd resist those lilting...

I see stuff like this sometimes on the local fb marketplace, and we are nowhere near the American south. I can only assume US servicemen introduced them around WWII and those pieces are still sadly circulating. At least I hope new pieces aren't being imported here; selling old ones is bad enough.

I'm going to be real here: I don't mind the clock changes. Kind of seems like it hits the best of both worlds with what I'd consider a minor inconvenience, especially with most "clocks" these days self-adjusting. That said, if I had to choose give me Standard. Darker mornings sound bad in Winter.

We haven't had to buy a muzzle (yet; Dinah has picked up a bad habit of eating street treats and that may be the fix) but we usually get our stuff locally. Pet Valu (preferred) or Pet Zone (local chain, but the owner was an ass to Dinah once).

In Canada, we recently felt the loss of so many children, killed by someone little more than a child themselves, and we mourned. I think most of us are still in mourning.

How could we possibly support something like this? How can we not grieve this loss? How can we ignore the pain?

So sad to share that legendary colorist Tatjana Wood has passed away at the age of 99. Her pioneering painterly touch graced scores of DC & Vertigo series. She was truly one of a kind and a special friend. May her memory be a blessing.
