A reminder to every politician: You don't get any points for "solving" a problem that you yourself created.

An apparently controversial take:
- A doctor should run the NIH
- A scientist should run the NSF
- A pilot should run the FAA
- A nuclear engineer should run the DOE

etc.

Let's make expertise cool again.

If it were about ending government waste, they would have brought in forensic accountants and policy specialists, and not half a dozen junior engineers.

A quick note to various politicians: when the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Bloomberg, and The Economist are calling your plans "idiotic"... Maybe it's time to reconsider? Just sayin'.
