How many of them have electric outlets for the fans? Or do they all require stinky, noisy gas generators to pollute the parks?

How many pedestrian were killed that same day in Nashville, Austin and Atlanta by human drivers? And what is the plan to prevent those deaths?

Professor Riggs at USF asks why we apply so much scrutiny to Waymo while ignoring the epidemic of fatalities caused by human drivers. Unsafe streets, no enforcement and no outrage. #VisionZero is just empty talk.

That line is delivering wind power from New Mexico to @avaenergy.org customers like us. Biggest wind project in the US.
It's sadly predictable that dangerous street designs kill people. Yet cities feel the need to wait for a body count before taking fixing their mistakes.
Latest example is Hayward, where 3 pedestrians were killed in the last 10 days.

Bill McKibben’s environmental group @thirdactorg.bsky.social has endorsed Tom Steyer for California governor.
Yes! Transportation is the other side of the housing coin. You can’t increase density and expect everyone to own a car. When cities promote housing they need to promote transportation solutions.

little kids now explaining to Berkeley City Council that their safety while biking around town is more important than preserving every last parking space
Thank you to everyone who spoke up to make Hopkins safe for all! We got what we wanted today! 🎉
The Council committee unanimously recommended adding pedestrian, bicycle, and transit improvements when Hopkins is repaved!
Stay tuned, there will be more steps before a final Council decision.
Maryland is the latest state to require speed limiters on the cars of people with repeated speeding tickets. Good idea!

They heard that about a hundred times. Not sure it had any effect. Maybe at least they'll put some lighting under the trees so it's not like a tunnel at night.

Photo of a man holding a remote to a heat pump unit with text: Simply put, a heat pump is an all-electric system that moves heat instead of making it. They're 3-4x more efficient than traditional alternatives, resulting in energy savings and lower carbon emissions. Heat pump systems: can cool and heat, all in one; provide quiet, reliable comfort; work in cold climates and high altitudes; can lower your energy bill.
Illustrations of heat pumps working in the summer and winter with the text: In the summer, a heat pump HVAC system moves heat from inside of your house to outside of it. This cools your home. In the winter, the same HVAC system moves heat from outside to inside. Even when it's cold outside, there's enough heat in the air for the heat pump to warm your home.

If you're in need of a new water heater, air conditioner, space heater, or clothes dryer, consider a heat pump system. Learn more and find savings: AvaEnergy.org/go-electric

Kidical Mass is creating the future, today. Let's build streets that make the vision a reality every day.
Oakland has starting issuing tickets from their speed cameras. In the warning period a section of Foothill Blvd saw speeding of 19 mph over the limit (44 in a 25 zone). Will they now redesign the road to slow people down?

Converting the Rodeo oil refinery to biofuels was a dumb idea from day 1. Now Phillips 66 wants a bailout, under the subterfuge of sustainable aviation fuel. Vote no @jessearreguin.bsky.social and @buffywicks.bsky.social.

I am so fucking sick of the both-sidesing that keeps happening re: Hopkins bike lanes. Pro-street safety folks want the city to try harder to keep them from dying and the pro-parking people want to keep parking in front of their destinations for free forever. These things are not the same.
