Yair Golan is your man. Not too hard to identify an appropriate name. 😜

Phew! Really glad to hear you’re ok.

Our squad has never been *that* good. Howe has overachieved and then been held back by PSR. Isak leaving and some badly judged gambles plus the lack of investment in previous windows have come home to roost.

I’ll happily accept ‘I told you so’ if Howe leaves and the next fella wins trophies and/or qualifies for Europe every year. These are the standards and expectations Howe has created and the metric by which he is being judged.

That might be because it’s easier said than done. As we’ve seen lots of times over recent seasons with clubs with far greater pulling power and financial capacity than us.

This makes no sense. Isak wanted to leave last summer for Liverpool not wait another season. Wissa was Wilson’s replacement. We went for Ekitike and Sesko and got Woltemade. They have 11, 9 and 7 goals this season so it’s hardly a massive difference in output.

He may well not. Who is getting us UCL every season then?

And the last manager to win us a trophy and/or qualify for the UCL twice in three seasons?

We don’t have the financial capacity to challenge for the UCL every year yet, though. Or is there a manager out there that you think can get us there consistently?

What do you mean?

Aye, it’s definitely feels like the end game. Unsustainable as things stand. Could do with some clarity sooner rather than later as to whether we’re sticking or twisting.

I don’t understand the barely concealed glee that some supporters are showing over our current form and Howe’s struggles. It just makes me sad. I love the fella, he’s the best manager we’ve had in modern times and will be remembered as a legend if and when he leaves. #nufc

He’s away. Woltemade on the bench again saddens me too.

Morning!

If you’re someone who loves walking/cycling & history, I’ve built a walking planner & companion for the website.

You put where you want to walk, and it will automatically pop up with historic sites from our project and of listed structures.

Let me explain a bit more!

🚨 #nufc announce Kieran Trippier will leave at the end of the season. 150 games, four campaigns (2 in the @ChampionsLeague), a Carabao Cup winner: the signing who believed in the project.

So important to #nufc recent history.

Right time to go, means a good send off assured.

Poor second halves too so far!

Too slow to get it forward. Keep playing it backwards. Sunderland turning it into a scrap. We’ve seen this before… 😬

That was really rather lovely.

Sunderland sit on 40 points. The xG model says they deserve 31. That's the second biggest overperformance in the Premier League this season. With 8 games left, is regression coming? #NUFC

I was worried last summer and autumn at their scarcity but there are suddenly plenty around this spring. Hope.

Reaching net zero by 2050 ‘cheaper for UK than one fossil fuel crisis’ Climate change committee finds move to renewable energy would also bring health, economic and security benefits Achieving the UK’s net zero target by 2050 will cost less than a single oil shock and bring health and economic benefits while insulating the country against future costs, the government’s climate advisers have forecast. Eliminating the UK’s reliance on fossil fuels by adopting renewable energy and green technologies, such as electric vehicles and heat pumps, would be the best and most cost-effective option for the future economy, the Climate Change Committee (CCC) found. I'm not well enough to go to tomorrow's Cup match v Man City. I can't sell my tickets directly, but if anyone knows a wheelchair user who wants to go, my tickets, including a carer space, are available from the club. Just phone #NUFC & ask. Thanks

He’s ill

He’s going to live or die by it and he’s sticking to his guns. It may well cost him his job in the long run but I hope he’s seeing some bigger picture that we’re not.
