Want to learn about the many Indigenous cultures that make up this land? Jared has a starter pack
And I can appreciate being annoyed that a sub-reddit is hating on you, but it doesn’t justify the approach or the time/energy spent. Suspect Canadaland lost more supporters through these actions that through the sub-reddit.
I agree re: Bourrie. In particular when he’s asked directly if he is Spoonkymonky – it was painful to hear his defensiveness (and he never said ‘no’). I also liked the push back from the Canadaland staffer. It’s clear not everyone was on side with this tactic
Very curious to hear your thoughts!
"I’d love to see that fear of fire shift to a respect for fire — learning that fire can be a tool that we can use to manage our land, and help bring balance to it, instead of something to be feared."

Should federal ministers be able to exempt their corporate friends from labour laws? Environmental protections? Indigenous rights?
Bill C-15 would give them that power.
I just told my MP this is unacceptable. What about you?

Mark Carney and Danielle Smith’s MOU is an abuse of power and a spit in the face to British Columbians. They will never ram a pipeline through BC without the consent of Coastal First Nations and Northern Communities, and we’ll make fucking sure of it. #bcpoli
I am going to cross my fingers and believe this interpretation. Feels better!
I'm quickly losing track of all the compromises of his values that Mark Carney is willing to make to sign deals. I'm really getting the sense that he does not care about losing all the NDP and centrist votes from the last election and that he doesn't really care about winning a second term.
When it comes to the endangered southern resident killer whales, doing less will lead to their extinction. The federal government can implement effective, practical, science-backed measures now that cost little or nothing.

This man is a hero. Many of us know or knew people who survived WWII thanks to others who risked their own safety to hide them — impossible not to think of this today
It's disturbing how quickly he is dumping his values. One by one

Each of the 96 new Supernova fast chargers can add up to 100 kilometres of range in just 15 minutes—that’s enough in about 18 minutes to drive the entire Sea-to-Sky Highway from Vancouver to Whistler. #bcpoli #EV #climateaction
Micah on Bluesky: “they are clearly trying to terrify everyone out of showing up to the No Kings protest and I simply do not think it is going to work see you all there”
Ron Filipkowski on Bluesky: “The No Kings protests have been some of the most peaceful and well attended political assemblies in American history. In fact, MAGA has mocked them as a bunch of boomer grandmothers. Now they are apparently terrorists.”
Jon Favreau on Twitter: “A top Republican in Congress just called millions of Americans terrorists. The last No Kings protests saw 4-6 million people turn out. They were peaceful. They were joyful. There were American flags everywhere. Those of us who will be participating next weekend in what Emmer calls a "hate rally" for "terrorists" love our country - particularly its promise that we're all created equal, that we all have the right to speak freely, to enjoy equal protection under the law, to believe what we want, and to choose our leaders without fear of reprisal. The No Kings protests are happening because Emmer and Trump and his regime are trampling on those rights and freedoms.”
Leah Greenberg on Bluesky: “"After a few moments of laughter, the No Kings Coalition issued the following statement"”
MAGA wants us afraid and divided, but we’re not backing down. Let’s make October 18 the biggest day of peaceful protest in American history: www.nokings.org?SQF_SOURCE=i... #NoKings
This is a very good thing.
The President seems unwell. From his physical symptoms to his visible cognitive decline, the American people deserve clear answers about his ability to serve. I’ve formally called on the White House Physician to provide transparency and the truth about President Trump’s health.
Someone check on Ken Sim
