And I can appreciate being annoyed that a sub-reddit is hating on you, but it doesn’t justify the approach or the time/energy spent. Suspect Canadaland lost more supporters through these actions that through the sub-reddit.

I agree re: Bourrie. In particular when he’s asked directly if he is Spoonkymonky – it was painful to hear his defensiveness (and he never said ‘no’). I also liked the push back from the Canadaland staffer. It’s clear not everyone was on side with this tactic

Before wildfire season begins again, Indigenous fire keepers gather to share knowledge In March, attendees of Salish Fire Keepers Society event learned about working with blazes to protect the land, decolonizing fire management and more

"I’d love to see that fear of fire shift to a respect for fire — learning that fire can be a tool that we can use to manage our land, and help bring balance to it, instead of something to be feared."

Study finds few improvements to at-risk species in B.C. As spring blooms in British Columbia, the brilliant orange-and black pattern of a monarch butterfly’s wing and the distinctive cream cap on a black male bobolink songbird are a rare sight.

Demand the Standing Committee on Finance: Remove Part 5, Division 5 from the Bill C-15

Should federal ministers be able to exempt their corporate friends from labour laws? Environmental protections? Indigenous rights?

Bill C-15 would give them that power.

I just told my MP this is unacceptable. What about you?

Mark Carney and Danielle Smith’s MOU is an abuse of power and a spit in the face to British Columbians. They will never ram a pipeline through BC without the consent of Coastal First Nations and Northern Communities, and we’ll make fucking sure of it. #bcpoli

I am going to cross my fingers and believe this interpretation. Feels better!

I'm quickly losing track of all the compromises of his values that Mark Carney is willing to make to sign deals. I'm really getting the sense that he does not care about losing all the NDP and centrist votes from the last election and that he doesn't really care about winning a second term.

Opinion: How Canada can protect B.C.'s iconic killer whales without busting the budget Three no-cost steps would advance the recovery of southern resident killer whales.

When it comes to the endangered southern resident killer whales, doing less will lead to their extinction. The federal government can implement effective, practical, science-backed measures now that cost little or nothing.

Jon Favreau on Twitter: “A top Republican in Congress just called millions of Americans terrorists.

The last No Kings protests saw 4-6 million people turn out. They were peaceful. They were joyful. There were American flags everywhere.

Those of us who will be participating next weekend in what Emmer calls a "hate rally" for "terrorists" love our country - particularly its promise that we're all created equal, that we all have the right to speak freely, to enjoy equal protection under the law, to believe what we want, and to choose our leaders without fear of reprisal.

The No Kings protests are happening because Emmer and Trump and his regime are trampling on those rights and freedoms.”
