Whilst this was a very emotional piece to write, the opportunity to share our memories of someone who has been so influential in the teaching careers of so many English teachers was such a privilege.

I think more and more we are seeing the 'evidence based' narrative used to push a specific ideological position. Ofsted are particularly guilty of this and indeed they have been picked up on for using research to justify things it doesn't actually say. #EduSky
