The Senedd dissolves for pre-election period tomorrow. As I am not seeking re-election, I will no longer be MS for Merthyr Tydfil & Rhymney, but remain Minister until the election.

Entitled to your view of course (name is Bowden by the way not Bowen), but just saying things are bad doesn’t make then so. Huge process has been made against enormous financial challenges and Tory austerity. 20,000 new social homes delivered. That’s not a plan, that’s action. Time to talk Wales up!

This week we completed our Plenary meetings for this term of the Senedd. It was a busy week of business but also some time to reflect on the many contributions made to Welsh public life by my MS colleagues.

Today I joined Merthyr Valleys Homes for site visits and a Ministerial visit to Newport.

The Senedd today marked 25 years of remarkable contributions of the 69 women who have been elected.

Every woman elected has been honoured with their own commemorative “number” recognising their place in Senedd history.

I’m very proud to have received my number “53” which I am wearing today 😊

Welsh Government’s Transformation of Children’s Services Programme Legacy Report was launched today.

Thanks to everyone involved in delivering this, particularly care experienced young people, Ministers, stakeholders & partners.

The next WG must continue this work.

Great to see Welsh Government Baby Bundles on display at Senedd Cymru today.

Around 550 expectant mothers have now registered and more than 300 have so far been delivered since the first one in February.

It’s a great scheme.
