The Higher Ed equivalent is "female students laughing in the library"
"Student laughing while eating a salad" if you need a campus lifestyle shot.

As usual not even one single mention of pupils who use their phone as an essential medical or assistive technology.
Nope, just “phones bad”
Ok, one more because I’m so excited for the book to get out there. @korybing.bsky.social drew some excellent beepers for the book. 🦖
The EU also has "right to repair" laws.
We are looking at a painting of St Liphardus - a 6th-century lawyer, hermit and abbot in Meung-sur-Loire near Orléans, France. He is wearing bishops clothing including a surplus and mitre and is holding a crook. On a lead is a small knee high green and blue dragon.
We’re very sorry sir but you cannot bring your emotional support dragon in here.
Tossing a coin with 3D printing and a pinger. Nice.

I completely forgot mention to their face about Labour's record on trans rights and their manifesto commitment of exclusion, so I've filled in a feedback form and emailed them. I'll let you know if I get any response. Hopefully it'll be quicker than my MP's usual timescale.
Honest and above board then.
Did I say independent report? It was commissioned by Scottish Labour, while Mike McKirdy was presumably standing for candidacy of the party seat. The report does not mention in the front or conclusions who funded the report. It does mention it once at the very bottom it was promoted by Labour.
But seems to skip over very lightly the root causes. An aging population, more complex cases from that age. (My guess is that) funding per head isn't rising, it's maybe stable at best after decades of austerity cuts.
Mike McKirdy, a retired consultant surgeon at RAH, the local hospital. He's authored an independent report into the state of the Scottish NHS in December 2025. It identifies a lot of work that needs to be done.

As well as the complete lack of official response from our local MP Alison Taylor.
They listened, which honestly is more than we've had in a while. They've asked me to look into the local Scottish Labour candidate, so a man of my word, here we are.
I had someone from Scottish Labour come and knock on the door today. I think they were expecting a more positive response, I told them we voted for change and change isn't happening. I told them we don't trust Anas or the party to stand up for Scotland despite the hundreds of YouTube adverts...
Is there an emoji for the Nolan principles?
got a shout out at work today for calling our customers a distributed fuzzing platform
The infuriating thing is, this is supposed to be a "change" based government because the last one was corrupt and chronically unaccountable.
We didn't vote for Labour, we voted the last lot out. They don't seem to understand the motivation.
The only thing one learns during these appearances is that the country is being run by ruddy faced, chinless man boys who operate in a rarified sphere of no accountability.

So that's between 0.5% a year and 1% a year on average.
Compounded that doesn't seem like a lot, but over 50 years that's huge. 30-60% lower over 50 years. Keeps getting worse.

We've all been there, when something breaks and it's cheaper to bin & replace rather than repair it.
The @scottishgreens.org's discounted repairs scheme would be good for buyers, for businesses and for our planet.

Why are AI blackouts very likely?AI electricity consumption scaling FASTER than utility electricity

It's time for change. Legalise cannabis.
It's time to end the failed and deeply damaging ‘war on drugs’.
Scotland needs an evidence-based approach to drugs that prioritises public health and public safety, not more criminalisation.
i got a reply!!
a good apology, imo
have emailed back asking if it will be published in the national/on social media, and about the charity donation
got a reply back immediately saying she’s working with the team on how to resolve it all, and she’s aware there’s a lot of work to be done
