Sure looks like it; that would be Aurora Australis at top of the image (South Pole) and Aurora Borealis at the bottom (North Pole). Good observation!
Gotta be a joke....a very SICK joke! Mother Nature is not THAT cruel...
A Strong (G3) geomagnetic storm is currently in progress. Threshold reached at 23:28 UTC (Mar 20). SolarHam.com
A moderate (G2) geomagnetic storm watch has officially been added for March 19th when a CME that left the Sun earlier today is expected to pass Earth. SolarHam.com
It doesn't look fatal, but will require a climb and walk on the roof. Do you have snowshoes?

I don't do much TV DXing myself.
But I couldn't help but write about an unusual propagation event last week several TV long-distance hobbyists witnessed. Was it Aurora-enhanced F2-layer skip?
Plus, learn how a DXer in California heard a 45 MHz FM broadcast signal from South Korea in 1957!
Interesting dive, Nick. I‘m looking forward to reports from these locations, comparing the actual with the modelled…
There's so many FM radio signals on the air these days, so that made it even a more enjoyable exercise for me to come up with 20 spots in the U.S. where the dial is nearly empty.
I enlisted an ML model developed by my Villanova student, Minh Bigting, to help.
Have you been to any of these spots?
Moderate (G2) geomagnetic storm watch now in effect until 06:00 UTC (Jan 3). Bz south at times and solar wind speed around 600 km/s. SolarHam.com

ALL good things must come to an end…
Shud be Dec. 5-6 on the graphic??
The enhanced solar wind environment has prompted a strong (G3) geomagnetic storm warning which is now in effect until 23:59 UTC (Dec 3). Despite the full moon, aurora sky watchers at higher latitudes should be alert for aurora should local weather conditions allow.
Our Sun Wakes Up! Soon to be named Region 4294 fires an M5.96-flare at an R2-level radio blackout now! Expect signal degradation on VHF and HF dayside radio bands in the western hemisphere over the next hour, especially western South America, Hawaii & Asian Pacific (colored regions in map).
A look at big sunspot region 4294 as it rotates into view on Saturday. The region is currently producing occasional M-Flares and is likely a threat for an isolated strong X-Flare. SolarHam.com
Must have been structural issues, otherwise every tower in VO1land would be on the ground!

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting and @npr.org reached a settlement late Monday evening in a dispute over public media distribution.
While each side got something they wanted, tensions linger. CEO Patricia Harrison pushed back on accusations that CPB “kowtowed” to the Trump administration.
