Lovely light and depth. I recall stepping out of the car on the Island a few years ago and noting how amazingly quiet it is there, then my friend stumbled on an article from a study of quiet places, where it was noted that it was the quietest location in the study. I can believe it.

Storm Beyond the Dunes

Having watched numerous thunderstorm cells scattered across the region's mountains almost all afternoon, this interesting cell was expressing its last bits of energy as it dumped its remaining moisture just beyond the distant peaks.
