In the last 2 months, I’ve written 2 new grade 2 works for concert band. I’ve gained a new respect for the talented composers who can write at this level. It has been a struggle for me! Personally writing a grade 2 was harder for me than writing a grade 4/5!

Double bar on the first draft of this new EA piece! Onto engraving mode. We're still accepting consortium spots. Grade 3.5 for concert band with electronics and it's only a $125 entry fee. If you want to know more feel free to reach out to me!
How's everyone's mental health doing now-a-days? Mine is currently at "Pint of Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Brownie before bed".
I have the best writing partner in the world. He always listens and rarely judges. His feedback on midi piccolo sounds are second to none (claws digging into my leg). I thoroughly enjoy our morning composing sessions together!
All setup and ready for MMEA!
If you like sci fi, “Out of the Silent Planet” by C.S. Lewis is fantastic. The whole C.S. Lewis “space trilogy” as a whole is great!
I’ve never been able to write in loud environments or moving vehicles. Kind of jealous of your scenery for inspiration!
Any chance I can get added? This is awesome!
Writing a last minute presentation over Dorico has been a blessing and a curse.
Blessing: I know how to do all the things on my pc.
Curse: I don’t know any of the shortcuts anymore thanks to my streamdeck and im giving the presentation on my Mac.
This is gonna great
One musician.
One French horn.
One very cinematic audio track.
A collective need to exhale and release our anxieties for just a few minutes.
Please enjoy Braydon Ross’s recent, beautiful performance of my piece, DEEP.

I can’t wait for another legendary playoff rant at a press conference
Last minute announcement! I'm giving a talk at MMEA next week! For all you finale refugees out there, this talk is for you. We're going to have a safe space for us to grieve and then move on to bigger better things! I'll talk on the options available and give a deep dive into Dorico!
Hello! I’m Robert. I’m a composer, drill designer, software engineer, amateur astrophotographer, and avid video game enthusiast. I like writing music for all mediums and my favorite is concerts band + electronics. My music is inspired by space, technology, and raw human emotion!
@jeffchambers.bsky.social what’s your booth number? You’ll have to come swing by and say hi as well!
I’m excited for Midwest next week and my first booth there! I’ll have tons of great music for purchase and great memes like this one. Come hang out and say hi at booth 1916!
Feeling moody? Broody? Attitude-y?
Need a personal soundtrack?
Here’s a favorite pensive offering, TRAINS OF THOUGHT, in a DePaul Wind Symphony concert last month conducted by Erica Neidlinger. These wonderful musicians sound great no matter what state of mind you’re in. bit.ly/4ga2fuZ
The Langenfeld 2024 holiday display! Arrianne wanted a second sun and we’re slowly working our way there with the new additions this year. Making Grandpa Owen proud!
Hey there fellow indie composers and publishers: I love Bluesky, but I still need to point you over to Facebook whenever I post anything pithy. Which is my euphemism for “loquacious.”
In this case, loquacious, but very helpful with regard to our catalogs. Have a look!

Witch’s Broom Nebula. Shot in my backyard
Space is awesome. It’s often times the subject of the music I write. Here’s a shot I took of “The Witch’s Broom” nebula last year in honor of #wicked movie releasing this weekend!
