Calmac is being used as an implement by Unionists to beat the Scottish Government Steve. There’s no doubt the fleet is aging, and is a vital part of Scottish infrastructure. Any normal independent country can borrow to address infrastructure issues, but Scotland can’t of course.

As a regular Calmac user I find the service and staff excellent. Weather cancellations are quite rightly safety decisions. Occasional breakdowns are to be expected as with any mechanical/electric mode of transport. WELL DONE CALMAC 👏

I regularly use the Cumbrae and Arran routes Maureen. I find them to be mostly reliable, weather excepted of course. Ferries are machines, with complex mechanical and electrical systems. Of course there will be breakdowns. There is no complex machine with 100% reliability and Calmac do a great job.

BBC Shortbread doubling down on their Ferry push by opening the comments option on their web page on the return of the Glen Sannox which has been ‘off service’ for one day. The comments are everything you would expect from the cap doffing, media blinkered, uninformed yoons.

My question was entirely rhetorical Syd. I am aware of the tax deductions because of a separate pension using up the personal tax allowance. My fear would be that a right wing UK government would abolish the state pension on the basis of what separate pension payments that people receive.

I’m not so sure how this conspiracy benefits Celtic. If the title comes down to the last game, who would you rather be playing. Hearts or Falkirk ?
