I've been thinking about this a bit as the US anti-ESG movement got its early momentum from the local pools of capital controlled by ideologues but it's not like Staffs council was a socialist haven before yday. Curious to see either way given Tice's attacks on ESG in the PCPF

a shortlist for the headlinemoney awards ESG story of the year
Delighted to have been shortlisted for the Headlinemoney Awards ESG story of the year category for my work on the defence sector's sustainability charm offensive - this is my longest ever piece of published journalism so happy to have been recognised!

Sanity prevails, somewhere on a beach in the Caribbean is a brand consultant sipping cocktails next to a bag of stolen vowels

I really thought financial journalism would involve a lot more hiding in carparks and receiving stolen documents and less spending my Friday morning searching up various pork-related cases at the US Supreme Court. The puns write themselves.
I’m going tomorrow. Giving blood in the uk is great
1) you collect points for pints and I’m never going to get airline status but dammit I’m getting silver on blood
2) they have club biscuits?
3) Greatest Hits Radio on full volume
4) You get a google map of where your blood goes
5) helping people??

Feels a bit on the nose that the German government is hosting its energy transition conference on "Under Water Street"

Picture of a New York Times push notification that cuts a headline off saying "Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are dead."
Perhaps not the best place for the NYT push notification to cut off...
seems a bit much----- oh I see ok
Still, I'm pleased to see von der Leyen's drive for diversity has paid off. There are white women AND white men.
Where is the threshold for "I liked it before it was cool"?
My dignity was at least saved by the fact they finished the sentence with "but is nonetheless really important".
Nothing to put you back in your place quite like listening in to an investment committee meeting and hearing one of your beats described as "an obscure, arcane thing that nobody really thinks about".
A fifth of members aren't aligned with the Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance's position on thermal coal per its third progress report.
Members have to align with alliance positions on a comply or explain basis and explanations are currently under review.
