Wish they would continue the story from Fable 3 would be cool to see an art deco Albion with airship flights to Aurora.

"Thus it comes about, to quote Marx, that machinery becomes the most powerful weapon in the war of capital against the working-class; that the instruments of labor constantly tear the means of subsistence out of the hands of the laborer; that the very product of the worker is turned into an instrument for his subjugation." - Frederick Engels

Those who control the machines want to make everyone else obsolete. Be it art, music, writing, or at the workplace they both resent artists and workers for being good at something they are not and want to keep all the profits from said work. And they have been doing this BS for years.

The OVA is great but much like actual history some of it and the books come across as in-universe historians twisting the truth somewhat. A fan group I occasionally chat with takes the view that the show itself is an in-universe dramatized series reflecting the sensibilities of the victors.

Makes for some interesting food for thought in how advances in technology/culture can lead to new kinds of learned reflexes that can cause subtle changes in some actors performances.

From King's Letter from Birmingham Jail:. "You may well ask: "Why direct action? Why sit ins, marches and so forth? Isn't negotiation a better path?" You are quite right in calling for negotiation. Indeed, this is the very purpose of direct action. Nonviolent direct action seeks to create such a crisis and foster such a tension that a community which has constantly refused to negotiate is forced to confront the issue. It seeks so to dramatize the issue that it can no longer be ignored. My citing the creation of tension as part of the work of the nonviolent resister may sound rather shocking. But I must confess that I am not afraid of the word "tension." I have earnestly opposed violent tension, but there is a type of constructive, nonviolent tension which is necessary for growth. Just as Socrates felt that it was necessary to create a tension in the mind so that individuals could rise from the bondage of myths and half truths to the unfettered realm of creative analysis and objective appraisal, so must we see the need for nonviolent gadflies to create the kind of tension in society that will help men rise from the dark depths of prejudice and racism to the majestic heights of understanding and brotherhood. The purpose of our direct action program is to create a situation so crisis packed that it will inevitably open the door to negotiation. I therefore concur with you in your call for negotiation. Too long has our beloved Southland been bogged down in a tragic effort to live in monologue rather than dialogue."

Many purposefully hide the fact that he believed that a certain level of societal tension that brings issues to the surface is necessary for change. Moderates would rather have an unjust peace then deal with that tension to build a better world.
The Letter from Birmingham Jail is a good read.

They put more effort into crushing Bernie and the Palestinian protesters than they do resisting Trump. And then they whine about why nobody wants to take on their side. Maybe stop doing that and earn people's faith instead of demanding it like a spoiled child after having already killed their hope.

Unionize, run for office, support mediocre for all, worker co-ops, ect. In spite of all the finger wagging from exclusionary leftists and the centrist libs who offer no future. Though to be fair part of why folks say "Dems suck there is no hope" is cause Dems keep crushing the ones who offer hope.

Nah, the Labour Party in the UK is just right wing at this point. Not only in these policies but in the sheer amount of sabotage and Stalinist level purging of the Corbyn wing. You folks are better off starting a new party. Labour doesn't want you and they are cooked anyway.

A poster titled "Our Peacemaker" depicting Emperor Belos of the Boiling Isles in Vienna Secessionist Style. A blue halo of stars lays behind his mask and in the halo's orbit are nine circles, with coven symbols and colors within each. The background is a golden texture with red misty clouds and sun rays emanating from the halo. Flanking the image our two wings with eyes perched on top of each.

May I give you all an emperor Belos poster in Vienna Secession Style in these trying times?
